WufWuf: Wufrica (A Puppy’s View)

My nearly five month old black lab puppy certainly feels the heat, so this month the WufWuf box of dog treats and toys is taking us from the heat of the UK to join on safari in Wufrica!

Opening the box is always an event. The main challenge is to get in a few pictures before he runs off with everything! You can just about see that there are plenty of goodies inside the paper wrapping.

The first thing he ran off with was this Safari Buddy Toy.  This cute elephant has crinkly ears, lots of textured bits to chew, as well as a squeaker inside his fluffy tummy. This is one of the several possible options in the box, including a couple of different elephants, giraffes, and monkeys. As retriever breeds love to carry things about, the elephant trunk was a very useful handle.

The other toy in the box is a Compass Toy. This is actually the reverse with the WufWuf logo on, but you can see the compass side in another picture. This also has a squeaker and a hanging/carrying loop.

On to the treats. WufWuf  do their own line of treats, which are very popular with the dog! They are grain free, which is fab, and come in a variety of delicious flavours. These are venison and duck, and while they’re quite large they can be easily broken up into small pieces, especially useful for training treats.

There are also a packet of Pet Munchies, another brand that does natural treats without grains. These are chicken and sweet potato sticks, and again can be given whole or cut into pieces.

This is something of a combination toy and treat, a Rosewood Jungle Animal. Made with chicken, it’s good for metal health, lasts a good long time even with my greedy pup, and also provided a great deal of entertainment by periodically been thrown up into the air and around the floor. It kept him quiet for thirty minutes!

(Don’t forget that the cardboard box also makes an excellent toy, and then it can go in the recycling.)

Our score: 9.8/ 10

This was such a fun box. My pup grabbed the elephant toy and wouldn't leave it alone for quite some time. It also seems to be coping well with being chewed, which is very useful as he is teething at the moment. I love the WufWuf own brand treats as well, they're soft but really useful to have in a pocket or bag when you go to the park. Altogether this is a lovely selection, with yet another clever theme. My pup loves having lots of different toys (and treats!) and it's especially useful at the moment in the hot weather when he can't go out. This is a great way to treat your furry friend!
