WufWuf – December 2018: Christmas Box

Treat your furry friends this Christmas to their very own subscription box from WufWuf! As the name suggests, this box has been specially made for your four-legged dog companions and every month, they’ll receive a box filled with Treats, Toys, Chews, Accessories or Grooming Products. There will always be at least five products included and the contents will be worth at least £40 so it’s a great value for money box! Postage is free and you can cancel at any time.

This month’s WufWuf box is themed around Christmas and came wrapped in the cutest dog themed wrapping paper! There are some lovely festive treats inside, so let’s take a closer look at the goodies below:-

True Touch Grooming Glove

This grooming glove has a clever silicone grip surface that gently removes excess dog hair, whilst giving your dog a nice massage at the same time. My Rottweiler sheds quite a lot twice a year as he has a double coat, so this will definitely come in handy. I’ve tried other grooming brushes before which he never liked, but we’ve definitely found a winner with this one as he’ll just sit and let us groom him properly for the first time ever! I’ve also tried it on my Staffy and she didn’t mind it either.

Once you’re finished grooming with it, the hair can then be simply lifted off the glove and disposed of – super easy! I highly recommend all dog owners to get one of these if your pet is prone to shedding or has a thick or long coat.

Handmade Christmas Tree Toy

Next, I found a Christmas Tree shaped toy which has been handmade by WufWuf themselves. It feels good quality and has a velvety type of texture. As this has soft stuffing in it, I know that my power chewer dogs will destroy it in minutes, so I’m going to give this to my mum’s dog for Christmas as she’s much gentler with softer toys like this.

Set of Two Tennis Balls

How cute is that Pug illustration?! Inside the cotton drawstring bag, I found two tennis balls. Sadly my dogs aren’t really into catching or chasing balls (although Toby the Rottie will sometimes guard them in his bed!), so again, I’ll give these to my mum’s dog to play with over the holidays.

Pet Munchies Beef Liver Sticks

Moving onto the treats, I was pleased to see some products from Pet Munchies because they’re always high quality and don’t contain any rubbish ingredients. These Beef Liver Sticks are baked and have been made without Wheat, Cereals, Gluten, Artificial Additives or Preservatives. There’s a generous amount in the bag as you can see above.

Chloe the Staffy especially loved these!

Pet Munchies Salmon Fillets

Also from Pet Munchies are these Salmon Fillets treats which are 100% natural and free from Wheat, Soya and Gluten. Fish is especially good for dogs and Salmon is such a great healthy treat for them to have as it helps to maintain healthy skin, coat, and joints and is also low fat and good for their joints.

I must admit that these do smell very fishy when you open the pack, but they must smell good to the dogs because these went down very well with them!

Kong Classic Toy

Kongs are fantastic if you have power chewer dogs like mine because they’re virtually indestructible – in fact, I don’t think Toby has ever managed to destroy one and my previous Rottweilers have all had them too. They’re made from a thick sort of natural rubber which is very sturdy and durable. When you turn it upside down, there’s a hole at the bottom and the idea is that you stuff it with food or treats and then your dog has to work out how to get it all out, which keeps them busy for hours! Both of my dogs already have Kongs, so this will be another gift for my mum’s dog.

Canovel Probiotic Yoghurt Treat

We’ve all heard about the benefits of probiotics for gut health in humans, but did you know that they’re also good for your dogs too? They help to boost their immune system as well as their intestinal health and this bar from Canovel is a great way to introduce some into your dog’s diet. It looks like a chocolate bar as you can break off the squares and then feed them to your dogs as treats.

Both of mine enjoyed these and they’re definitely something that I would pick up again to help keep their gut health in tip-top shape.

Nilaqua Towel-Off Pet Shampoo

The last product in this month’s WufWuf box is a bottle of Nilaqua Towel-Off Shampoo. It has an innovative concentrated formula which doesn’t require any water to be added – you simply apply it onto your dog’s coat, gently rub it in and then remove it with a towel – easy peasy. I’ve been using this after walks when they have muddy feet and it’s been working really well. A little goes a long way too.
