Cat advent calendars 2026: Lily’s Kitchen at £8.50, Pets at Home’s £35 calendar with 7 toys, and a box for the rest of the year

Cats get their own countdown too, and two of this year’s cat advent calendars sit at opposite ends of the price scale. The Lily’s Kitchen Advent Calendar for Cats costs £8.50 for a daily treat, while the Pets at Home Ultimate Luxury Advent Calendar for Cats is £35 for 24 doors of treats and toys, with contents the retailer says are worth £63. Both were in stock on 19 October.

Here is what is inside each one, plus the monthly cat box offer that runs right now if you would rather spoil your cat all year.

Lily’s Kitchen Advent Calendar for Cats: a daily treat for £8.50

Lily’s Kitchen’s cat calendar has a Christmas “Treat Shop” design, and behind each door is a treat with a crunchy shell and a soft centre. According to the brand, the treats are made with turkey and hydrolysed chicken liver, use a grain-free recipe (made in a factory that handles grains) and are for adult cats from six months. It is a limited edition.

At £8.50, it is the easy pick if you just want a festive ritual without clutter. Delivery from Lily’s Kitchen is £4.95 below £29 and free above, so it is worth adding it to a bigger food order, or picking it up in a pet shop if your local one stocks it.

Pets at Home Ultimate Luxury Advent Calendar for Cats: 24 doors for £35

The Pets at Home calendar is the big one: 58.5cm tall, with 17 treats, food and catnip items and seven toys from brands such as Ciao Churu, Applaws, Lily’s Kitchen, Felix and Gourmet. According to Pets at Home, it includes:

  • Treats and lickables: Ciao Churu Bites Chicken and Churu Sticks Tuna with Chicken, Applaws Chicken Puree and Tuna Loin, Felix Joyables with Duck, Catit Creamy Lickables, Lily’s Kitchen Come Here Kitty salmon treats, Frozzys Happy Gut yogurt, AVA Optimum Health Lickables, Pickle’s, Denzel’s, Bonkers, HiLife and two Seriously Good treats.
  • Food and catnip: a Gourmet Nature’s Creations pouch and Bam! American catnip.
  • Toys: a marabou teaser, catnip mice, a 5 in 1 laser chaser, Willow’s crinkly ears, mouse kicker and spinning windmill, and a Bam! fish kicker.

The catch: on 19 October, the calendar was available for Click & Collect only, not home delivery, so you will need to pick it up from a store. It is suitable for adult cats, not kittens.

Not just December: the Gus & Bella monthly cat box

If you like the idea of a surprise box for your cat but not just for 24 days, the Gus & Bella monthly cat box has a welcome offer running. New subscribers get 30% off the first box (£24.43 instead of £34.90), a free £10 cat play tent with it, and a free £15 cat bed with the second box. Unless you ask otherwise, the first box is October’s “Feline Spooky” edition, which ships in one to two days.

Each box holds eight to 12 products around a monthly theme: one to three toys or health products, two to four natural food items and three or four cat-themed treats for you. After the first box it costs £34.90 a month, charged on the 4th, with free UK delivery; you can cancel from your account. See our Gus & Bella listing for more.

Thinking about what goes in the bowl every day rather than the odd treat? KatKin’s fresh cat food subscription starts with a trial box of its most popular recipes, with no tie-in and the option to pause or cancel at any time. We have not tested it ourselves; our KatKin listing has the details.

Our verdict

For a simple daily treat, Lily’s Kitchen at £8.50 is hard to beat. If your cat loves to play, the Pets at Home calendar is better value than it looks, with seven toys that will outlast December, but plan a trip to the shop. And if you are tempted to keep the surprises coming, the Gus & Bella offer makes the first two months good value.
