Savano, Olivia Attwood’s canned cocktails: 15% Hot Honey Margaritas, now on a 10% off subscription

Three striped Savano cans side by side: Hot Honey Margarita in orange, Caipirinha in green and Moscow Mule in red

Savano is the ready-to-drink cocktail brand launched in July 2026 by TV presenter Olivia Attwood, and three months in, it is still one of the most talked-about cans in the drinks aisle. The range is short: a Hot Honey Margarita, a Caipirinha and a Moscow Mule, sold at Sainsbury’s, on Amazon and on its own website, where the Hot Honey Margarita costs £25 for six cans or £22.50 if you subscribe.

That subscription is what caught our eye. A celebrity cocktail on a delivery every four or six weeks sounds like either a clever little treat or an easy way to overspend. Here is what you actually get, and our take. Savano is an alcoholic drink, for adults aged 18 and over only.

Where did Savano come from?

Olivia Attwood, the former Love Island contestant turned presenter, launched Savano nationwide in July 2026 with listings at Sainsbury’s and Amazon on day one, according to Bar Magazine, which gave a launch RRP of £4 a can. The look is deliberately retro: striped cans inspired, the brand says, by the beach clubs of the French Riviera and Monaco in the 1970s and 1980s.

The buzz followed fast. Writing in The Sun on 14 August, drinks writer Helena Nicklin reported that the first three flavours sold out in Sainsbury’s almost immediately and that the cans had kept selling out since. On savano.co.uk, the Hot Honey Margarita alone has 79 customer reviews, far ahead of the Caipirinha (14) and the Moscow Mule (9), which tells you which can people are actually buying.

What is inside the three cans?

According to the official product pages:

  • Hot Honey Margarita: tequila, jalapeño honey, lime juice and sea salt. 15% ABV in a 125ml can, still (not fizzy), gluten free.
  • Caipirinha: Brazilian cachaça, cane sugar and lime juice. 15% ABV in a 125ml can, still, vegan and gluten free.
  • Moscow Mule: British vodka, ginger beer, lime juice and bitters. 10% ABV in a 200ml can, sparkling, vegan and gluten free.

Source: Savano (product pages and FAQs, checked on 18 October 2026).

Worth knowing: these are small but strong. A 125ml can at 15% holds about 1.9 UK units of alcohol and the 200ml Moscow Mule holds 2 units, so two cans already take you to around four units. The UK Chief Medical Officers advise no more than 14 units a week, spread over three days or more.

How does the subscription work?

Every flavour on savano.co.uk comes in a pack of six (£25) or 12 (£48), and every pack can be bought once or on subscription. Choose a delivery every four weeks or every six weeks and the price drops by 10%:

Pack One-off Subscription Price per can on subscription
6 cans £25 £22.50 £3.75
12 cans £48 £43.20 £3.60

Each subscription is for a single flavour: there was no mixed pack on the official shop on 18 October, so a mix of Margarita and Mule means two plans. Delivery is by tracked courier, with an economy option or next-day delivery when you order before noon, and the cost is shown at checkout. Because it is a drink, Savano does not take returns unless an order arrives damaged or wrong, and you need to report that within one day.

Our take: a fun can, but think twice before a standing order

Let us start with what Savano gets right. The flavours are on trend (hot honey is everywhere this year), the cans look brilliant on a table, and at 15% the Margarita and Caipirinha taste like proper cocktails rather than alcopops. Next to the price of a cocktail in a bar, £3.75 a can on subscription is a fair price for a ready-made drink you only need to pour over ice. The Sun’s reviewer gave the Hot Honey Margarita three out of five, praising its fiery punch but finding the range “a tad sweet”, which matches the general feeling: good fun, not a craft-bar Margarita.

Our reservations are about the format rather than the drink. A 125ml can is gone in a few sips, yet it carries nearly two units, so it is easy to drink more than you planned. The subscription discount is modest, it is one flavour per plan, and a delivery every four weeks only makes sense if you genuinely drink cocktails that often. For most people, buying a six-pack when there is something to celebrate will be the smarter move, and Sainsbury’s shelves mean you can try a single can before committing to anything.

Our verdict: Savano is one of the better celebrity drinks launches, with a strong lead flavour and honest cocktail strength. Buy it as a treat, keep the subscription for when you know you love one flavour, and drink it slowly.

Who is it for?

It will suit you if you host often, like your cocktails sweet and spicy, and want something better than a supermarket alcopop without shaking anything yourself. It is not for you if you prefer long, light drinks: a gin and tonic in a can will last longer for fewer units.
