It’s February, and of course love is in the air. And as we love our cats, Gus & Bella has put together a Purrfect Pairings box of goodies for cats and their owners so everybody gets some love at Valentine’s!
It’s all packed up beautifully in the box. Inside there’s a leaflet that tells you about everything inside – this is particularly good as they source products from small and independent producers, and it’s lovely find out about them. As you can see, even the little sticker has the titular two looking loved up for the season!
We’ve got two cans of Thrive cat food. This is a high-quality food, made from actual meat cooked in broth, not ‘meat/animal derivatives’ that is the frequent protein component of cat food. It’s all natural, no colours, flavours, sugar, or any other fillers. It’s really very nice, and a very tasty wet food indeed. (According to my cat, that is!) There is also a package of White Fish Treats, which again are extremely good quality. They are simply pieces of freeze-dried white fish and nothing else, and made from Hoki it’s sustainable too.
For kitty’s playtime we have two toys. There’s a handmade ‘hide and seek’ play ball from Meow Avenue, a small British company whose lovely toys have appeared in previous Gus & Bella boxes. The play ball is made from folded felt, which creates layers that are perfect for hiding treats to encourage engagement. You can also add some catnip to it for extra fun, and it rolls as it is batted around.
There’s also a Cupid’s Catnip Heart Toy from Paws Up Bowtique, again handmade and filled with catnip, plus the extra heart and feature tail for extra play fun.
Included is an extra packet of Meow Avenue Catnip to keep your supplies up!
Now for the humans. There’s a sweet Valentine’s Card to gift or keep. I’ve also got, and this is my absolute favourite, a Crazy Cat Lady Candle from Lindsay Lucas Candles. These are gorgeous hand-poured candles made from soy wax, so they burn clean which is greta for allergies and of course pets! It’s scented, and though I don’t know what the scent is called, to me it smells exactly like Love Hearts candy. And that’s quite appropriate as there is a little roll of those very candies in the box too. Delicious!
We’ve got a couple more treats, a Love Me, Love My Cat Notebook. This is an exclusive design to Gus & Bella, and there are plenty of lined pages. There’s also a cute Love Me Love My Cat keyring, perfect for any kitty owner, and it’s another exclusive Gus & Bella item.
