Grubby’s 4 December pizza kits add from £2.98 a box, led by a festive Chick’n pizza

Grubby, the plant-based recipe box, is putting pizza on its December menu. On 6 November 2026, Grubby’s order page lists four pizza kits across the weeks delivering from 3 to 18 December: a new Festive Chick’n, Stuffing & Cranberry Pizza with Gravy, plus the Margherita, Truffled Mushroom Bianco and BBQ Pulled Oyster Mushroom pizzas from the range Grubby launched in September. Each one adds a surcharge to your box: £2.98 for the classics and £3.98 for the festive pizza.

Grubby first announced its pizza kits in September, in a collaboration with Dragons’ Den pizza brand Doughboys and the Italian vegan cheese maker Casadai Foods. According to FMCG Magazine, each kit uses a Doughboys nine-inch Italian base, stone-baked and hand-stretched, and Casadai’s plant-based cubed mozzarella, and the range was “available exclusively to subscribers”. Grubby’s founder Martin Holden-White told the magazine that customers had been “asking us to put pizzas on our menu for a while”.

On Grubby’s own ingredient lists, the base appears as a “Sourdough Pizza Base” and the cheese as “Casadei Foods Mozzarella”. Grubby says the pizzas take 20 to 30 minutes to make.

Which pizzas are on the December menu?

Here is what Grubby’s order page shows on 6 November 2026, week by week:

• Festive Chick’n, Stuffing & Cranberry Pizza with Gravy (new): plant-based chicken pieces, breadcrumb stuffing, cranberry sauce, mozzarella and gravy. On the menu for three weeks, with deliveries from 3 to 18 December. Surcharge £3.98.
• Cheesy Margherita Pizza with Pesto Drizzle & Rocket Salad: tomato, mozzarella, basil and green pesto, with a tomato and rocket salad. Week delivering 3 and 4 December. Surcharge £2.98.
• Cheesy Truffled Mushroom Pizza Bianco with Rocket: a white base with mushrooms, mozzarella and truffle oil. Week delivering 7 to 11 December. Surcharge £2.98.
• BBQ Pulled Oyster Mushroom and Sweetcorn Pizza: oyster mushrooms and sweetcorn on a barbecue base, with a little gem salad. Week delivering 14 to 18 December. Surcharge £2.98.

The fourth pizza of the September range, the Fiery ‘Nduja and Black Olive Calabrese, is not on the menu weeks shown so far.

What does a pizza box cost?

Grubby prices its boxes for two people, before any offer:

• One recipe: £14.99 (£7.50 a serving).
• Two recipes: £29.98 (£7.50 a serving).
• Three recipes: £39.99 (£6.67 a serving).
• Four recipes: £49.96 (£6.25 a serving).
• Five recipes: £59.95 (£6 a serving).

Add a pizza and you add its surcharge. A two-recipe box with one classic pizza comes to £32.96, or about £8.24 a serving. Put the festive pizza in instead and it is £33.96. New customers see 30% off and free brownies on the first box, then 15% off boxes two to six, and free delivery on the first box, according to the order page.

What we think

Pizza is a smart addition to Grubby’s menu. It is the dish people miss most when they cut out dairy, and a proper Italian base with a melting vegan mozzarella is the part that is hard to get right at home. The festive pizza, with stuffing, cranberry and gravy, is a fun twist for a December Friday night.

The surcharge is the catch. At about £8.24 a serving in a two-recipe box, a Grubby pizza costs more than a supermarket vegan pizza, so you are paying for the kit and the toppings rather than for value. Each pizza also only appears for a week or so, apart from the festive one, so plan your box before the cut-off. We have not tested the kits ourselves.
