Whisky advent calendars are one of the most popular Christmas gifts for him, and the 2026 editions are now on sale. The Whisky Shop’s own calendar costs £99 for 25 single malt Scotch whiskies, Drinks by the Dram’s classic Whisky Advent Calendar (£99) is sold out at Threshers, its Premium edition is £215 there and in stock, and the Old & Rare edition is in stock at Master of Malt for £799.95. All of them hold 3cl drams, and all are for adults aged 18 and over only.

The Whisky Shop advent calendar 2026: 25 single malts for £99

The Whisky Shop Single Malt Scotch Whisky Advent Calendar 2026 is an exclusive with 25 single malts in 3cl bottles, one for each day of advent and a bonus dram for Christmas Day. The Whisky Shop says it mixes big names, newer distilleries and cult favourites, including a few whiskies that are rarely sold as miniatures. The line-up, according to The Whisky Shop:

Auchentoshan 18 Year Old, Glasgow 1770 Peated, Balblair 12 Year Old, Dalmore 12 Year Old, Fettercairn 12 Year Old, Glen Garioch 12 Year Old, Glendronach Port Wood, Glenglassaugh Torfa, Glengoyne White Oak, Glenturret Triple Wood, Nc’nean Organic.
Spey Trilogia, Benriach The Original Ten, Benromach 10 Year Old, Glenfarclas 14 Year Old, Berry Bros. and Rudd 12 Year Old Speyside Sherry Cask.
Isle of Raasay Single Malt, Jura 12 Year Old Sherry Cask, Lagg Corriecravie, Ledaig 10 Year Old, Tobermory 12 Year Old, Ardnahoe Bholsa, Bowmore 15 Year Old, Laphroaig 15 Year Old, Smokehead 15 Year Old.

On 13 October 2026 it was in stock at £99, with free UK delivery on orders over £99 and click and collect from 22 Whisky Shop stores.

Drinks by the Dram Whisky Advent Calendar 2026: the classic world tour

Drinks by the Dram, sold through Master of Malt and other retailers, makes some of the best-known whisky calendars. The standard 2026 edition has 25 different 30ml wax-sealed drams from around the world, and it costs £99 but was sold out on 13 October 2026 on the Threshers Drinks by the Dram Whisky Advent Calendar page. Highlights include Balvenie DoubleWood 12, Hibiki Japanese Harmony, Yamazaki and Hakushu Distiller’s Reserve, Johnnie Walker Green Label, Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength, Port Charlotte 10 and Maker’s Mark, alongside newer names such as Kyrö from Finland and Virginia Distillery Co.

Compared with The Whisky Shop’s calendar, it is less about Scotch single malts and more of a world tour, with Japanese, American, Canadian, Finnish and Welsh whisky in the mix.

Drinks by the Dram Premium and Old & Rare calendars

The Premium Whisky Advent Calendar 2026 steps up to older and rarer bottlings: Lagavulin 16, Bowmore 18, Bunnahabhain 18, Scapa 21, The Glenlivet 21, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Hakushu 12, Yamazaki 12, Redbreast 18 and Octomore 16.1 among its 25 drams. It was in stock at £215 on the Threshers Premium Whisky Advent Calendar page, with listings at £199.95 on Master of Malt and £230 at Selfridges.

At the top of the range, the Old & Rare Whisky Advent Calendar 2026 is in stock on Master of Malt at £799.95 for 24 drams of rare, well-aged whisky in drawers, with a Glencairn tasting glass.

Which whisky advent calendar should you choose?

For a Scotch lover: The Whisky Shop at £99, with 25 single malts and plenty of distilleries that are hard to find in miniature.
For a curious drinker who likes variety: the Drinks by the Dram standard calendar at £99, with whiskies from several countries, if it comes back in stock.
For a serious collector: the Premium edition at £215, or the Old & Rare calendar for a once-in-a-lifetime gift.

Remember that 25 drams of 3cl add up to 750ml, the same as a standard bottle. Enjoy one a day rather than several at once.
