What we think
At £375, this is one of the most expensive fragrance calendars of the season, and the stated worth of £595 is about 1.6 times the price. That ratio is lower than mass-market calendars, but Jo Malone rarely discounts, and 13 colognes is a generous way to sample the range before buying a 100ml bottle. The scent mix is well judged, from fresh classics (Wood Sage and Sea Salt, Lime Basil and Mandarin) to richer Cologne Intense picks such as Myrrh and Tonka and Oud and Bergamot.
The catches: the 9ml colognes are travel sizes, and the 30ml Tangerine and Honey on day 25 is the only larger bottle. The body products are mostly 50ml. And the trunk, while beautiful, is a big object to store.
