TokyoTreat is a monthly box of Japanese candies and snacks from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes YumeTwins and nomakenolife.

Spring is a very special time in Japan, because it marks the season of sakura – cherry blossom!

This is going to be a great theme, as cherry blossom is not a flavour that is common outside Japan, so it will be fun to have to opportunity to sample this country-specific flavour.

Skura Mochi Kitkats.

Japan is famous for it’s incredible variety of KitKats, and this spring limited edition sakura mochi version is one of the best! The filling is red bean flavoured with a coating of sakura white chocolate, and the packaging is also eco-friendly!

Sakura Milk Caramel Corn

Another limited edition seasonal treat, this sweet crispy puffed corn snack is flavoured with a delicious mixture of creamy milk and sweet floral sakura.

Sakura Scented Nectar Peach.

Peach juice is lovely and refreshing, and this gorgeous sakura variety is perfect for spring! It contains white peach juice and pulp.

Mr Onion Snacks.

Corn puffs are a favourite Japanese treat, and these are onion soup flavoured for a savory tangy taste.

Mashro & Sour Cider Gummy

Mashro is a sweet pastel Japanese marshmallow, and is soft and puffy and delicious. Then cut through the sweetness with the sour cider gummy, which is in the shape if a bottle!

Sakura Pocky

Pocky are a classic Japanese treat of chocolate-covered pretzel sticks. This special edition version is coated in sakura flavoured chocolate, and is limited to a spring release only

If you’re familiar with the hot taste of wasabi, you’ll love these! They’re cheese Cheetos but with a great spicy kick from the wasabi, a great taste combination!

Banana Man and Chocolate Umaibo

Banana Man is another marshmallow treat, banana flavoured with a creamy chocolate centre. Umaibo is a classic Japanese snack, a crunchy corn tube that comes in both sweet and savory flavours. This one is infused with delicious chocolate!

Mochi Taro are crunchy friend mini rice cakes, and these are a simple and salty treat.
