I had the pleasure of being introduced to Ten Teas last year and I reviewed several of their amazing loose-leaf tea selection boxes, so I’m even more excited to show you all the brand new and improved Explorer Box from Ten Teas.
This box is now even more eco-friendly as Ten Teas have ditched all of their plastic-based packaging in favour of a more environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative. In addition, they have reduced the carbon footprint further by choosing to ship their boxes quarterly instead of monthly, but don’t worry – you’ll receive bigger sizes in your new quarterly box so you’re getting more tea for your money!
The Explorer Box consists of ten carefully chosen loose-leaf teas which are all high quality and ethically sourced. They’re chosen for their natural flavours so you’ll discover an exciting selection to try out every quarter.
Here’s what’s inside the latest Ten Teas Explorer Box:-
When you receive your first box as a new subscriber, you’ll find a Starter Pack of TeaBrew Filters and a handy stainless steel tea measuring spoon to get you started.
1 – Estate Tea – Awesome Assam
Directly sourced from the finest tea estates around the world, the Estate Teas offer a variety of the finest quality teas that you can buy. Included for you to try is the Awesome Assam tea which is full and balanced in flavour and has delicious notes of spices and malty character.
2 – Breakfast Tea – Bold Breakfast
Start the day off right with a good Breakfast Tea and you know it’s going to be a good day! This Bold Breakfast Tea is a blend of second flush Assam with Keemun Panda for notes of malt and stout, plus Chingwo County Orange Pekoe for a distinctive oaky character.
3 – Chai Tea – Fiery Chai
I love Chai Tea and this Fiery Chai is one of the best that I’ve ever tried! There are lots of Cardamom and Ginger spices for a really lively and warming cuppa!
4 – Flavoured Tea – Lemony Ginger
Lemony Ginger has some elements of a Chai Tea but with a smoother, richer and malty consistency, as well as more sweetness. Good with milk and ideal for breakfast.
5 – Fruit Tea – Bloody Orange
Fruit Teas are lovely when you want something uplifting and zingy, and this Bloody Orange tea ticks all the right boxes for a lovely summertime evening tea. Naturally sweet and caffeine-free, it features Blood Orange pieces, Hibiscus and Rosehip for a sweet and tangy drink.
6 – Functional Tea – Top To Toe
The Functional Teas are special blends which offer health benefits and Top To Toe is a good one to try if you suffer from stiff joints thanks to the anti-inflammatory properties of Tumeric, Fennel and Burdock. It also tastes really nice!
7 – Green Tea – Flowery Jasmine
I love Green Teas so I’m always looking out for different flavours to try out. This Flowery Jasmine blend is sweet and of course, flowery, but well balanced and not bitter. Another good option to drink during the summer months.
8 – Oolong Tea – Orangey Oolong
This special blend of Oolong Tea is half-fermented for a softer flavour that still retains a lot of lively and fruity notes from the natural Oranges used. It smells amazing as it’s brewing and has a very comforting vibe about it.
9 – Rooibos Tea – Creamy Rooibos
Some teas go particularly well with a dessert and this Creamy Rooibos tea is one such example that you can try in the box. Caffeine-free and with a lovely subtle sweetness, it has lots of delicious notes of smooth and sweet caramel without being overwhelming and sickly.
10 – Herbal Tea – Refreshingly Minty
The final tea is one of my favourites as it’s so simple but always one that I gravitate towards, especially after dinner. This Herbal Tea is called Refreshingly Minty and has an amazing Peppermint flavour and aroma. Liquorice, Apple pieces and Lemongrass are also added for additional flavour and interest for something that’s truly unique to savour.
