StrandScience is a UK food supplement brand that sells one hair product, the Hair Revival Complex, on a monthly subscription for £29.74 a bottle. It is a two capsule a day formula with more than 20 vitamins, minerals, amino acids, botanicals and probiotics, sold on the brand’s own site and promoted through TikTok Live. Each bottle is a 30 day supply, a single bottle is £29.74 when you subscribe (£34.99 list price), and the one-off price is listed as “coming soon”. Delivery is UK only. The brand is new, run by co-founders Jamie Kerr and Jennifer Kerr, and it is a supplement, not a medicine: it does not treat hair loss, and some of its marketing goes further than the wording the UK allows for supplements. Read the claims section and our verdict before you commit to three months. Our news story on StrandScience’s Hair Revival Complex covers the price and four claims worth checking.

StrandScience price and plans
| Option | What you get | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | 1 bottle (30 days) every month | £29.74 (list price £34.99, save 15%) |
| 2 bottle plan | 2 bottles every month | £59.48 |
| 3 bottle plan | 3 bottles every month | £89.23 |
| One-off purchase | 1 bottle, no plan | £34.99, shown as “coming soon” |
Every plan works out at £29.74 a bottle, so the larger plans only change how many bottles arrive, not the price of each one. At £29.74 for 30 days the supplement costs about 99p a day. The brand tells you to take it for at least three months, because hair grows in cycles, so a realistic first commitment is about £89. The product page says delivery is free and you can cancel any time. Two details do not line up: the page headline mentions free delivery on “3 and 6 Month Hair Journeys”, which are not the plan names shown below it, and the shipping policy offers free standard shipping only on orders over £45. Check the total at checkout before you pay.
The brand also gives access to the StrandCircle Hair Health Club, a support and education community with diet plans, hormone and stress guides and live sessions. It comes free with the supplement, so it is a perk of buying rather than a second subscription.
What is in the Hair Revival Complex
The brand lists these groups on the product page, and takes two capsules a day with food:
- Biotin, zinc, selenium and B vitamins: nutrients the brand says contribute to the maintenance of normal hair.
- MSM, L-lysine and marine collagen: structural nutrients and amino acids.
- Ashwagandha KSM-66 and rhodiola: adaptogenic botanicals traditionally used for the body’s response to everyday stress.
- Saw palmetto: a botanical the brand describes as carefully selected.
- Probiotics, prebiotics and kelp-derived iodine: for what the brand calls inside-out hair care.
The science page adds zinc citrate, vitamin C, horsetail extract and a B complex. The brand’s own product listing says the formula contains biotin and zinc, which contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, and that it is suitable for adults and made in the UK. The product page text does not give the amount of each ingredient per capsule, so check the label on the bottle if a dose matters to you. The brand states that it is made in a BRCGS AA certified facility and batch tested by a third party, which are its own statements.

The health claims, and what you can rely on
This is the part to read slowly. In the UK, a food supplement can only use health claims on an authorised list. For hair, the authorised wording is that biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. That is a claim about maintaining normal hair, and it assumes you are getting enough of the nutrient. It is not a claim that a capsule will regrow hair or stop shedding.
The brand’s pages go further than that. The product page describes saw palmetto as working as a “natural DHT blocker, helping reduce hormone-related shedding”, says ingredients help rebalance stress hormones like cortisol, and sets out a timeline of “less shedding” in the first three months and “new growth” from month four. The home page speaks of “proven scalp and hair growth outcomes”. We treat these as marketing, not as established facts. The science page links a study for each ingredient, but those are studies of single ingredients, two of the links are blog posts from a private clinic, and none is a trial of the finished capsule. We have not found evidence that this particular formula grows hair.
The reviews do not settle it either. The brand shows different figures on different pages (4.5 from over 1,000 reviews, 4.8 from 1,247 and 4.8 from 1,319), and its Results page lists 44 “verified buyer” entries that are all named “Sarah, 28”. Treat star ratings here as a sales claim, not as evidence.
Warnings before you take it
- It is a food supplement and not a medicine. It is not a replacement for a varied, balanced diet. Do not exceed the stated dose.
- It is not suitable for anyone under 18.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication or managing a health condition, check with your doctor first. The brand’s own FAQ says so. We would add thyroid conditions, because the formula includes kelp-derived iodine and ashwagandha.
- It contains marine collagen, which comes from fish, so it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans and anyone with a fish allergy should check the label.
- Biotin can interfere with some blood tests. Tell the clinician you take a supplement containing biotin before a test.
- Hair loss can have medical causes such as iron deficiency, thyroid problems, hormone changes and some medicines. See a GP or pharmacist first if the loss is sudden, patchy, heavy or comes with scalp symptoms.
Who is behind StrandScience
StrandScience is a young brand run by Jamie Kerr, a wellbeing author, and Jennifer Kerr, who the brand says has 30 years in hair, including 23 running her own salon. The founders say they tested more than 100 supplements before settling on the formula. The brand has reported selling thousands of bottles through TikTok Live, and it promotes an award from Global Recognition Awards. We would read that award as marketing: it is an awards scheme that businesses apply for, not independent testing of hair supplements, and the sales figures are the brand’s own. The brand has also told the press it grew without affiliate agencies or influencer partnerships, which suggests that it does not run an affiliate scheme.

Delivery, cancelling and returns
StrandScience ships within the UK only. Orders are processed within one to two working days, then standard delivery by Royal Mail Tracked 48 takes two to four working days, and an express option (DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 24) takes one to two. Shipping charges are shown at checkout, and the brand quotes a free shipping threshold of £45, so check that the £29.74 plan really ships free.
The product page says you can cancel any time, and the checkout wording says you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. The policy pages we read do not explain how to cancel, so keep your order confirmation and use the brand’s contact address, [email protected], if you cannot find the option in your account.
Returns are limited. You have 14 days after delivery, and the item must be unopened, unused and in its original packaging. The refund policy also lists food, personal care goods and sale items as not returnable. That means you cannot try a bottle and send it back if it does not work for you, and the monthly price is shown as a sale price against £34.99, so ask before you rely on a refund. Damaged or wrong items should be reported straight away.

StrandScience against a cheaper test
If you only want the nutrients with authorised hair wording, a simple supplement costs a lot less. These are the list prices we found at the last check, and they can change.
| Product | Price | Per day | What it offers |
|---|---|---|---|
| StrandScience Hair Revival Complex | £29.74 for 30 days on subscription | About 99p | Over 20 ingredients including botanicals, probiotics and marine collagen |
| myvitamins Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies | £10.49 for 30 servings (listed as half price from £20.99) | About 35p, or 70p at the full price | Zinc and biotin plus vitamins, with the same authorised hair wording. Not recommended for pregnant, breastfeeding or menopausal women |
These are different products, not a like for like swap, and the gummies contain sugar. The point is that the authorised hair claim sits with simple nutrients, and the extra botanicals are what you pay the premium for.
Is StrandScience worth it?
Our honest view: it is a polished, carefully presented product with a clear price, and it is not good value if you are buying it for the claims. At about 99p a day you are paying around three times as much as a basic hair vitamin, and what you get extra is a set of botanicals whose benefit for hair is not established in this combination. The best hair claim you can safely rely on is the ordinary one: biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. The marketing around DHT blocking, hormone balance and regrowth is not something we would pay for. The reviews are inconsistent, the returns policy gives you no way to test it at no risk, and the cancellation steps are not set out in the policies.
It may still suit you if you want a broader formula, you like the support community, you have seen your GP, and you are comfortable spending about £89 on a three month test, with your cancellation date in the diary. If your hair loss is sudden, patchy or heavy, see a GP before spending anything. If you only want to cover the basics, start with a simple supplement.
Pros
- A clear subscription price of £29.74 with the one-off price shown for comparison
- Includes biotin and zinc, which have authorised wording for the maintenance of normal hair
- Free StrandCircle community, with guides and live sessions
- Made in the UK, with the brand reporting third party batch testing
- Cancel any time according to the product page
Cons
- About 99p a day, much more than a simple hair vitamin
- Some marketing wording (DHT blocker, hormone balance, proven growth) goes beyond authorised claims
- No published amount per capsule on the product page, and no trial of the finished formula
- Reviews and star ratings are inconsistent across pages
- Opened items cannot be returned, and the cancellation steps are not explained in the policies
- Contains marine collagen, so it is not vegetarian or vegan

StrandScience FAQ
How much does StrandScience cost?
The Hair Revival Complex is £29.74 a bottle on the monthly subscription, which is £34.99 less 15%. The 2 bottle plan is £59.48 and the 3 bottle plan is £89.23. The one-off price of £34.99 is listed as coming soon.
Is the Hair Health Club a subscription?
No. The StrandCircle Hair Health Club is a free education and support community that comes with the supplement. The subscription is for the supplement itself.
Does StrandScience work for hair loss?
It is a food supplement, not a treatment. Biotin, zinc and selenium contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, but the brand has not shown that this formula regrows hair. The brand suggests at least three months. If your hair loss is sudden or heavy, see a GP.
Is StrandScience a DHT blocker?
The brand’s product page calls saw palmetto a natural DHT blocker. That is a marketing description, not an authorised health claim, and we would not buy it on that basis.
How do I cancel StrandScience?
The product page says you can cancel any time. The policy pages do not set out the steps, so use your account if it has the option, or email [email protected] and keep your order confirmation.
Is delivery free with StrandScience?
The product page says delivery is free on the subscription plans, but the shipping policy offers free standard shipping on orders over £45 and says charges are shown at checkout. Check your total before you pay.
Can I return StrandScience if it does not work?
Only unopened, unused bottles within 14 days. The refund policy excludes food, personal care goods and sale items, so you cannot try it and return it.
Is StrandScience vegan?
No. It contains marine collagen, which is fish derived. Check the label if you have an allergy.
Who should not take StrandScience?
It is not for under 18s. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication or have a health condition, including a thyroid condition, check with your doctor first.
