RIN is a new Korean inner-beauty brand that launched in the UK in September 2026 with one very unusual product: Glow Strips, a passion fruit film that melts on your tongue in about a minute. Each strip carries 80mg of liposomal glutathione plus vitamins C, E and B2, marine collagen, milk thistle and L-cysteine. A pack of 14 costs £19.99, and the Glow Strips subscription on rinskin.com sends 28 strips every four weeks for £36.99 after a £27.99 first order.
Supplements in strip form are everyday stuff in Seoul and almost unknown on UK shelves, which is exactly why RIN is getting attention. So is this the next big beauty habit, or a pricey sweet with a clever story? Here is our take.
Who is behind RIN?
RIN was founded by Candace Dannenbaum, its chief executive, and her mother Dr Youngja Hwang Park, a pharmacologist with more than 25 years of experience in nutrient absorption, according to CEW UK’s launch report of 18 September 2026. The strips are formulated and made in Korea, then adapted to UK food supplement rules. Dannenbaum told CEW UK that “the inner-beauty side never made the journey” from Korea because of regulation, and that the flavour was reworked for British palates.
The brand sells direct to consumers on its own site for now. A second product, Collagen+ Jelly Sticks (2,650mg of marine collagen peptides in a peach or mixed berry jelly), is now listed on rinskin.com, and RIN told CEW UK it plans to move into retail later.

What is in a Glow Strip?
According to the official product page, each strip contains:
- L-Glutathione, 80mg, wrapped in liposomes (tiny fat bubbles meant to protect it on the way in).
- Vitamins C, E and B2, for antioxidant support; vitamin C also contributes to normal collagen formation.
- Marine collagen peptides (fish collagen, so the strips are not vegan).
- Milk thistle extract and L-cysteine, one of the building blocks the body uses to make glutathione.
- Passion fruit flavouring, monk fruit extract and sucralose to sweeten it.
You take one a day (RIN says up to two “for faster results”), placed on the tongue and pressed to the roof of your mouth until it dissolves. The brand’s own timeline promises fresher-looking skin in the first two weeks, a more even tone by weeks three and four, and fading dark spots after two to three months of daily use.

Our take: a brilliant format, a big promise
The format is genuinely clever. No tablet to swallow, no powder to shake, no water: a strip on the tongue on your way out of the door is about the easiest supplement habit there is, and the passion fruit taste is a smart answer to the reason most of us give up on supplements by week three. The packaging is bright, fun and very shareable, and the regulatory work to bring a Korean format to the UK is real.
The promise is where we would slow down. Glutathione is the darling of Asian inner beauty, but the research on taking it by mouth for skin is still thin: a handful of small trials, mixed results, and nothing like the evidence behind a good sunscreen or a retinoid. RIN’s wording is careful (“supports a more even-looking complexion”), and its claim that the strip is absorbed through the mouth before the gut gets involved comes from the brand. Treat the week-by-week results timeline as RIN’s own expectation, not a guarantee.

Then there is the price. At £36.99 for 28 strips, that is about £1.32 a day, and about £472 over a year on the four-weekly plan (first order included). If you follow the “up to two a day” suggestion, double it. For comparison, a classic beauty supplement plan such as the Myvitamins Beauty Subscription Box sends three supplements (coconut and collagen capsules, hair, skin and nails gummies and hyaluronic acid) for £26.99 a month on its rolling plan, according to Myvitamins.
Our verdict: RIN is one of the most original beauty launches of the autumn, and if you love K-beauty and want a supplement you will actually remember to take, the 14-strip pack at £19.99 is a fair way to try it. We would not sign up for months of it expecting dramatic results. Wear your SPF, keep your serum, and see the strips as a pleasant extra rather than the glow itself.
Who is it for?
It will suit K-beauty fans who already enjoy experimenting, people who hate swallowing tablets, and anyone curious about inner beauty who wants to try it in a fun format. It is not for vegans or anyone avoiding fish, and as with any supplement, check with your GP or pharmacist first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication. If you are more into what goes on your skin than in your mouth, our YesStyle advent calendar 2026 round-up and the LOOKFANTASTIC K-Beauty advent calendar are full of Korean skincare.
