I love interesting designs, so I’m very excited to be receiving a new paper and stationery box! Papergang works with a different artist each month to produce a range of items featuring their work. A monthly subscription costs £10.95 + 2.95 p+p.
This month’s featured artist is Peskimo, who specialize in creating cute and colourful creatures and animals.
This month’s items actually arrived in a tube! Previous months have been a regular box, but we’ll see why this month needed this packaging.
This cute little embroidered patch was the first thing out of the tube! I think it comes just with your first box. He’s certainly a funny little character with his pencil hair!
This is a skinny pencil case. You can see the design is very similar to the shipping tube. I love the bright colour and the pattern of trees and foxes. This is the perfect size to pop in your handbag!
And this is what it contains! A black ballpoint pen, with cute snoozing cat designs, and a little roll of washi tape with the fox and trees designs.
A calendar sheet.
This is why this month was sent in a shipping tube. It’s a big A2 size print! And it’s the same cat pattern as the pen!
There’s a little booklet with a interview with this month’s artists.
Also a list of this month’s contents with values. As you can see it adds up to a lot more than the cost of the box!
All items are exclusive to Papergang, and don’t even appear in their shop until well after they’ve appeared in the subscription box.
I’ve actually been looking for a small pencil case, and this one fits the bill perfectly! I also constantly lose pens, but this one is nice enough for me to keep a closer eye on it. Washi tape is absolutely lovely, it’s fun to use for all kinds of things. You could even use this one to tape the calendar sheet into your journal or on the fridge door!
The print is a lot of fun, and I’m impressed it’s so large. While I love the design, and especially the colour, we don’t actually have the space for it on our overcrowded walls. However I can think of at least two people who would love it (and are cat- and dog-lovers!) and will appreciate it as a gift, so I’m very pleased to have it. The rest of the contents are equal to the cost of the box in any case, so I don’t feel in the slightest like I’m missing out!
I really am charmed by this box. I love the designs, and I think having two patterns in contrasting colours is really effective. There is a great selection of items, and it’s wonderful to have things that are both attractive and useful!
