Mushus calls itself a “daily skincare drink”: a lightly sparkling 250ml can with 3g of vegan collagen, hyaluronic acid, a probiotic and organic tremella mushroom. On 21 October 2026, a six-pack of Pineapple Fizz costs £20 on the brand’s own shop, delivered across the UK.
Collagen drinks are having a moment on British shelves, led by Aqua Glow and its Waitrose listing. Mushus is the plant-based version of the idea. So does a vegan glow can at about £3.33 a go make sense, or is it a pricey fizzy juice? Here is our take.
Who is behind Mushus?
Mushus comes from Met Foods, the London company behind the dairy-free brands Nush and Cocos Organic, and was launched in May 2026 by founder Bethany Eaton. According to vegconomist, which relayed FoodBev’s launch report, the brand bills itself as the UK’s first sparkling skincare drink with vegan collagen.
The story behind it is personal. Bethany Eaton says her skin became inflamed, reactive and prone to breakouts after chemotherapy, and that she started combining vegan collagen, probiotics and tremella mushroom to support it. “Don’t take your skin supplements, drink them,” is how she sums up the idea.

What is inside a can?
According to the brand, each 250ml can contains:
- 3g of vegan collagen peptides, which Mushus says are up to five times more bioavailable than bovine collagen (its own claim).
- Hyaluronic acid.
- The probiotic strain HU58, which the brand describes as clinically researched.
- Organic tremella mushroom, which the brand calls a 2,000-year-old beauty ingredient, for hydration.
- Real fruit juice, no added sugar, no sweeteners, no preservatives and fewer than 20 calories per 100ml.
- Two flavours: Pineapple Fizz and Raspberry Fizz. Both are vegan, dairy free and gluten free.

How much does it cost?
On 21 October 2026, drinkmushus.com sells both flavours in packs of six for £20, which works out at about £3.33 a can. You can pick six of one flavour or a mixed pack with three Pineapple Fizz and three Raspberry Fizz. Delivery is by Evri across the UK, with dispatch on the next working day and delivery usually in two to four working days, according to the brand’s delivery policy; postage is calculated at checkout. The shop offers 10% off your first order if you sign up to its newsletter.
There is no subscription plan on the product pages: for now, Mushus is a one-off purchase.

Our take: a clever vegan twist, a premium price
The good news first. Mushus is genuinely different from the collagen drinks already on sale: most of them, Aqua Glow included, use collagen from animal sources, so if you are vegan or simply avoid animal products, this is one of the very few ready-to-drink options. The label is also clean: no added sugar, no sweeteners and under 20 calories per 100ml, which makes it a reasonable swap for a fruit soda.
The catch is the price and the evidence. At about £3.33 a can, a can a day comes to roughly £1,200 a year, against around £2.08 a can for Aqua Glow bought by the dozen. And 3g of collagen is a modest dose: Aqua Glow puts 5g in a can. The skin and gut claims are the brand’s own and are carefully worded (“support radiance, hydration and gut balance”), not proof that a fizzy drink will change your skin.
Buzz is also still quiet. Mushus has press coverage in the trade (vegconomist, FoodBev) and a founder story that resonates, but few public customer reviews so far, no supermarket listing that we know of and no subscription. We have not tasted the cans ourselves.
Our verdict: Mushus is a smart vegan alternative in a category dominated by animal collagen, with a refreshingly short ingredients list. As a daily habit, though, it is expensive for what is proven. Try a mixed six-pack first, and treat it as a better-for-you fizzy drink rather than a skincare product.
Who is it for?
It will suit you if you are vegan and curious about collagen drinks, or if you want a low-sugar fizzy can with a functional twist. If you want the most collagen for your money, Aqua Glow gives you more per can for less. If you are pregnant, take medication or have a medical condition, check with your GP or pharmacist before adding a probiotic drink to your routine.
