The team at KiwiCo believe that creative confidence helps kids think BIG. Created to celebrate kids’ natural creativity and curiosity, the KiwiCo team want to make it fun, easy, and delightful for families to spend time together. We chose the Kiwi Crate for 5-8 year olds, which includes a ‘Maker Project’ and features additional online DIY ideas.

Marble timing
This was so much fun! We really loved the fact you could change it and see how that affected the timings. Ours measured 16 seconds for all the marbles to fall, but when we moved some of the paddles, it took 11 seconds. The instructions were easy to follow and we especially liked that you could use this as part of the second activity.
Dip dye wood art
It was lovely to have one slightly more science-based activity and one more creative and artistic. We really enjoyed using the timer to time how long each piece was dipped in the dye for. The final pieces came out so well and we’ve been looking for other ways we can dip dye wood as we really liked the effects.

The magazine that comes with this box is also brilliant. A mix of fun and learning with ideas to inspire, we loved looking through this together. It also featured additional themed make ideas which we look forward to exploring later.
