February’s I Love Gin box has arrived and as always, it’s a wonderful treat for those who love to try new and unusual small-batch gins. Each box contains two mini bottles of gin and two mixers/tonics.
Here’s what’s inside this month’s box, themed ‘With Love From Essex’:-
The Only Way Is Gin Signature (50cl / 40% vol)
A multi-award winning premium quality gin, the Signature bottle here is described as the smoothest London Dry gin and I’m inclined to agree! Core flavours are prominently juniper with notes of citrus and soft peppery spice from the poppy seeds. A slightly fruity aroma greets your nose with plenty of citrus zing.
The Only Way Is Gin Raspberry Pink (50cl / 37.5% vol)
Combining an infusion of fruity raspberries with their super smooth award-winning Signature Gin, this flavoured little number has a bold bite with sweet and juicy undertones that leaves the palate refreshed. Less sweet than most pink gins on the market, this one also includes an upbeat blend of orange zest and peppery spice for a balanced finish.
For mixers this month, we have Twelve Below Classic Premium Tonic; a crisp and refreshing tonic with a citrus twist and a delicate flavour profile. It works well with any London Dry gin. On the right is the Lixir Refreshingly Light Tonic which is a classic Indian tonic with over 60% less sugar than comparable brands. It goes exceptionally well with fruity gins to let them shine.
