My Greeting Box – May 2018 The Card Making Subscription Box

My Greeting Box is a monthly package of card making supplies delivered straight to your door.
My Greeting Box is the unique mix of an activity box as well as a way to build up your collection of creative materials and tools and learn new techniques to use in your own designs. You will get 3 designs to make in each box but enough materials to make 5 cards and have leftover cardstock and other materials that are useful for creating your own designs (whether on cards or scrapbooking or any other project). As well as this you get tools that you will be able to keep forever. Order before 8th January to get your January box. Keep an eye out on our website and social media for sneak peeks about the theme and card designs! In January you will get three card designs to recreate and materials to make even more cards!
The price is £22 per month.
The box is very well sealed up, and fits right through the mailbox.
It’s all packaged up beautifully with tissue paper too!
Here are this month’s card designs. According to the note inside (there’s always a lovely note!) these cards are suitable for Father’s Day which is coming next month, but of course can be used for pretty any occasion when you want to show someone your appreciation.
First, lots of cardstock. There’s plenty of coloured card in those lovely turquoise and green colours, plus those two cards with the circle cutout are for the ‘Turtley Awesome’ card.
Some very practical things to stick everything down! Double sided tape, sticky pads, washi tape, and gloss accents glue.
Here’s the things that will give you all the lovely decorative bits! Some lovely acrylic stamps, with both pictures and sentiments, and a beautiful blue inkpad. On the right (it’s difficult to see above the background) is a wave stencil, which gives you the wave shapes you can see on the card designs. I wasn’t quite sure what the two black things were, but having looked at the instructions there are little pads for dabbing the ink onto the stencil. That makes sense, as I wasn’t sure how it was going to be done otherwise!
Finally, the blank cards. There are three card designs to make, but you get a few extra cards so you can repeat the designs you especially like! Oh, and there are also clear envelopes to store your finished cards.
This month’s designs are really funny! I really like these colours, they’re very fresh and summery. The little cartoon turtles are very playful, and I’m sure any father would love to receive one! They’d also be fantastic for anyone who loves the water.
The instructions are always very clear – I’ve made many of these cards and they have always worked perfectly.
As always there’s a very generous amount of cardstock. Not only can you create these lovely designs, but if you’re feeling brave you can have a go at designing your own too, using these for a bit of inspiration.
Handmade greeting cards are such a thoughtful thing to give, and everyone will know a cool dude who deserves one of these!
