First Wonder Box has been created by the same people who publish First News, a newspaper for children. This box is aimed at kids age 4 – 8, and includes games, crafts, toys, and activities.
The box is brightly decorated with the month’s theme. It also fits right through the mailbox!
The box opens out and turns into something, in this case a game board!
You get game pieces inside, and the other bits for the game are made from the box itself, which means there is very little wastage. Being cardboard the box is also recyclable.
The theme of this month’s box is Endangered Animals. There’s a list of everything inside to make and do.
Here are the stickers and collectible cards, plus one of those cool stacking colouring crayon pens.
The activity booklet is excellent. It’s informative and fun, and all the information is in nice bite-size pieces which are easy for children to understand.
There are also games and puzzles, drawing, and sticker activities.
Also in the booklet are instructions for the craft to create an Animal Totem Pole. You can use the colouring crayon as well!
The themes of these boxes are completely neutral, and are subjects that should interest every child. Even though this month is quite a serious topic, it’s presented in a friendly and entertaining way.
This is a lovely thing to share with your children, They will need some help with things like cutting out, but it’s a great opportunity to talk about different topics, as well as play games together!
