Having a penpal is a lovely experience for children, and Banjo Robinson is the perfect character to write to!
Banjo is a cat who travels the world and writes letters from the exciting places he visits.
Even better, you can write back!
His latest letter comes from South Africa. He writes funny anecdotes about his latest adventure, and the fun animal characters he meets along the way.
The letters look really fun, the paper has terrific illustrations and the typeface is nice and clear and easy for children to read.
Parents can also add a personal PS, which is a great opportunity for parents to add specially encouraging words, congratulations, or perhaps reminders!
There are also other goodies with the letter.
A colouring sheet, with space to draw on the back, plus a piece of writing paper and envelope to send your reply. This is cleverly posted under the sofa to be collected by a neighborhood cat.
Including writing paper makes it much easier to encourage your child to send a reply, and the letter contains prompts and ideas for things to write.
There’s a sheet of stickers, including stamps for the reply, plus locations stickers for the world map that comes with the first letter so you can follow Banjo around the world.
Also included is a little map with fun trivia and questions, plus a recipe card to try.
Banjo sends a letter every fortnight, which is just the right space of time for children be motivated to write back.
