LookFantastic – November 2017: Ready, Set, Glam

One of my all time favourite subscription boxes (along with Craftiosity and Treatbox) is the LookFantastic beauty box! The Lookfantastic boxes are always so well designed, put together and I always find something that I love. The November box is based around the theme of ‘ready, set, glam’ and features six items, from skincare to makeup.

Pixi by Petra Glow Booster in White Pearl

I have wanted to try more products from Pixi for ages as I love their pencil liners so this was a great addition to the box for me. I love the packaging, it’s a great size and it’s a product everyone can use. It’s basically a liquid highlighter which contains shimmer and on my skin tone, it adds a subtle highlighter but I can see flecks of shimmer which isn’t what I personally want from a highlighter.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

I’m actually currently using the full sized version of this pillow spray and I love it! It has such an incredibly calming, musky, lavender scent to it which I find very relaxing but for those that don’t love lavender as much as I do – don’t worry as it isn’t an overly sweet or powdery lavender scent. I’d definitely recommend this product and I’m glad I have a cute travel sized version.

Teeez Cosmetics Spectrum Of Cars Eyeshadow in Indigo Dare

I received the gorgeous Indigo Dare shade in my box but you may receive a different shade. I adore the box it came in as well as the very unusual eyeshadow packaging! The shade itself is so stunning but maybe as you can see from the swatch in the photograph below, sadly it isn’t as pigmented as I’d hoped it would be although it’s so easy to blend.

Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in 40’s Red

Another product where you could receive numerous shades but I received the shade ’40’s Red’ which is a gorgeous classic red shade so it is perfect for this time of the year! The formula is fairly easy to work with as is the applicator but it does take some work to get the shape right and to get the product evenly applied to the lips. Also it seems to almost glue my lips together…The shade is gorgeous though and I’m surprised by how much I love it!

Murad Essential-C Day Moisturiser

I’m sure that I’ve had this item in a beauty box previously, it might not have been the Lookfantastic box but it is annoying when the same products and brands are repeated over and over – e.g.: Murad and Bellapierre. I haven’t tried this sample yet but it’s a fairly decent size as a trial product.

Filogora Time Filler Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream

The final item is one I don’t really need right now as I am only 25 so hopefully full on wrinkles are a long way in the future for me! Again, a decent sized sample and it’s a brand I haven’t tried before. You apply under your eyes and at the roots of your lashes for a lift.

Our score: 8.4/ 10

Overall, a little bit of a mixed bag as I adore the eyeshadow shade, the lip colour shade and the pillow mist (which is the best item in the box) but there are a couple of slightly disappointing products and points too. I think the Lookfantastic boxes are still definitely worth checking out!
