Le Petit Ballon – February 2017

If there’s something that Le Petit Ballon does well it’s the ability to produce a stunning box that reflects the occasion. They expertly select the finest wines, and this month is no exception – being February and the month of love and everything – Le petit Ballon have issued yet another winner……let me tell you all about how it works……..

What’s in the Box……..

This month Le Petit Ballon box consisted of the usual 2 bottles as below: A bottle of white, Jurançon Sec Souvenirs d’Enfance 2014 and a bottle of red; Château Pech Celeyran Les Muriers 2015.

As well as the wines, the box also includes the usual wine tasting cards that help and guide you to make the most of your subscription; these tasting cards also offer insight into a brief history of their origins. I also received the February edition of Le Petit Ballon’s monthly Gazette magazine; the themed this month is ‘Good Fast Food’. Le Petit Ballon offer a range of tips and tricks, such as: red wine is often best served a little below room temperature (20 minutes in the fridge) – which literally goes against all of my beliefs……but, hey – if Petit Ballon says it’s the way to go, who am I to argue with the experts?!

All wines that feature in Le Petit Ballon boxes have been carefully selected by Jean-Michel Deluc, a master sommelier, formerly of the Ritz, London.
