Ace Cook Hachiya Asahikawa Shoyu Ramen

Asahikawa’s soy sauce ramen (shoyu ramen, 醤油ラーメン) is a representative taste of Hokkaido, along with Sapporo’s miso and Hakodate’s salt. One store that has supported that history is Hachiya. This ramen pot is made with homemade thicker noodles that are chewier than usual, situated in a meaty but light and well-balanced broth.

Myojo Koize! Ippeichan Butatamago Udon

The second ramen pot comes from the brand Myojo. This cup of noodles is full of umami despite the darker appearance from the double soup stock. The toppings are very Japanese and again, well-balanced. It’s a great quick lunch for those of you in a rush to get a taste of Japan.

Ginbis Shimichoco Matcha Milk

Matcha is the theme of the snacks this month and this packet has crunchy star shaped snacks that are coated in a bittersweet matcha flavouring. They are quite marmite as we say in the UK – you will either love or hate them!

Meji Horn Kaoru Matcha

Horn is a special series from Meiji, and they keep improving the crispiness of their treats year after year, adding more unique flavors to the mix. These crunchy biscuits are filled with a solid matcha cream that goes well with coffee or tea.

Tohato Boujaga Norishio Flavour

For something savoury, these crunchy potato sticks are coated in sesame oil which makes them super moreish and addictive. Made from local potatoes, the flavour of the rocky seaweed shores is enhanced by the freshness of the potatoes used in the process.

Yaokin Sour Paper Candy Apple

A yummy strip of sour apple chewy candy!

Yaokin Melon Pandaro
