YumeTwins is a monthly box of Japanese kawaii products from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes TokyoTreat and nomakenolife.Each box contains 5 kawaii items including plushies and lifestyle goods plus premium anime brands.

They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing $35.00, $33.50, $32.00, and $31.50 per month respectively (from around £25).

As it’s October, YumeTwins is feeling spookily festive with the Halloween Cuties box!

Halloween is a very recent thing for Japan, and while they don’t trick or treat, costume parties and and carving pumpkins have become very popular.

YumeTwin Exclusive Kuromi Pumpkin Plushie

I love an exclusive plushie, and this is one of the best I have seen! Kuromi is the rival of Hello Kitty, recognized by her skull decoration, and she has been transformed into this amazing pumpkin-shaped plushy complete with jack’o’lantern face. It’s incredibly festive and manages to be both cute and slightly scary, as all the best Halloween things should be. It’s also pretty big and incredibly soft, perfect as a cushion or headrest.

Pikachu Halloween Basket

This is rather like a cute mini shopping basket but in traditional Halloween colour. You could use it for candy of course, or to store any little things such as stationery or cosmetics.

Sanrio Halloween Temporary Tattoo & Candy Set

One of three spooky options, this is a fun set of four orange lollipops in the Hello Kitty shape plus a sheet of cute temporary tattoos, all in adorable Halloween packaging. Double treat in this one I think!

Sanrio X Fate Grand Order Makeup

The Fate Grand Order characters have been given a kawaii makeover in this collaboration with Sanrio. There is one of a selection of makeup kits featuring one of the characters, and either lip gloss or makeup palette. I’ve got the makeup combo which contains an eyeshadow quartet plus lip gloss.

Kirby Character Keychain

This is on of 16 possible designs of Kirby, the cute computer game character. It comes with a hanging loop and works either for you keys or to decorate a bag. No doubt he would be a big hit at a costume party with all the dressing up!

Melty Holic Notebook & Sticky Note Set

This fun stationery set consists of a lined notebook and a collection of sticky notes and tabs, all with a medical theme.

While I have a few mixed feelings about this month's box, I have to say that the plush is absolutely stunning! It's so cute asn really big, it barely fit in the box. I love it when YumeTwins has exclusive plushies, and this seasonal one really is superb. I also think the Hello Kitty candy is adorable, and I love that it comes with tattoos, which are a real childhood throwback. I'm a little less convinced about the makeup, because while it's cute I don't see YumeTwins as a kawaii cosmetic thing, unless perhaps for something fairly neutral like lip balm. I also think the stationery and keychain are not really anything to do with the box theme, though they certainly are cute. The plush really does make up for a lot though, and while I would have liked to see more properly 'Halloween-y' items, it still impresses overall.
