This month brings us another kawaii collaboration between Sanrio and Sailor Moon characters with Moonlight Prism Party!

Sailor Moon is one of the popular magical and kawaii characters in the fantasy genre of manga and anime. The ‘magical girl’ look is popular amongst kawaii fans, and the genre itself holds a lot of significance in the fantasy world culture.

The menu booklet tells you all about the different items in the box, as well as all kinds of fun snippets about kawaii culture and the collaborations between favourite characters and brands.

Chibi is a Japanese art style where characters are drawn in a style that is round and chubby, rather like a rice ball! Plushie keychains are very popular in Japan, and this one is a Sailor Moon character in the chibi style with a super soft texture.

Badges and pins are another popular bag decoration in kawaii culture, so much so there’s even a style named Ita bags, where bags are covered with a multitude of cute pins and plushies. This star-shaped badge features one Sanrio and one Sailor Moon character together, and the style is chunky and rounded.

These clear plastic stickers can be used to decorate anything from phone cases to laptops and even luggage. They’re durable as well, and come in one of five sets, mine being the adorable collection of Sailor Moon cat companions.

Small pouches or purses are always useful, being the perfect size for money, travel makeup, or keys. The flat bottom is useful as well as it means they can stand on a flat surface. They feature one of a select of cute Sanrio characters – here I have Little Twin Stars.

It’s a nice heavy canvas and feels very sturdy, plus the two different sides can be worn outwards depending on your mood.

I do love a tote bag! I use them a lot, especially for shopping, and I'm delighted to have another to add to my collection, especially with such cute designs. They little pouch/purse is also very useful for popping inside, or just for keeping in your handbag, or even for keeping little things together at home. The keychain and badge are a lot of fun, the rounded shapes are especially very pleasing! I do like this month's cohesive theme, and the collaboration between Sailor Moon and Sanrio works brilliantly and there's a good selection of different items, especially on the practical front.
