YumeTwins is a monthly box of Japanese kawaii products from Tokyo. It is part of the TokyoTreat subscription box group which also includes TokyoTreat and nomakenolife. Each box contains 5 kawaii items including plushies and lifestyle goods plus premium anime brands.
They have one-, three-, six-, and 12-month subscriptions costing $35.00, $33.50, $32.00, and $31.50 per month respectively (from around £25).
Summer means fun in the sun, and YumeTwins has come up with some cuteness to help keep summer cool with their Summertime Kawaii box.
The booklet tells you all about the goodies inside, and gives you a few extra ideas for one of the items in the box!
Do-Re-Mi-Fa Pikachu
This funny little stacking model of Pokemon favourite Pikachu has a button on its back that when pressed plays a tune! There are actually eight that you can collect, each singing a different note of the solfa scale. It’s a funny little thing but it’s very cute to hear, especially when you can get him to sing whichever note it represents (I have Mi, the third note in the scale) in the iconic Pikachu voice!
Summer Wonderland Drinks Holder and Kawaii Foldable Beach Tote
This is a neat way of carrying a takeout cup or can (the drink you see here is actually from this month’s TokyoTreat box!). Especially use when you don’t want to get condensation all over your hands, you can sling it over your arm to keep your hand free. Simple but rather neat.
I think you can never have too many tote bags, and this one folds into its own pocket. Light and very useful for carrying towels, shopping, or whatever you like, they come in a variety of favourite kawaii characters.
Sanrio Cooling Cloth and Rilakkuma Sweet & Sunny Diorama
This cooling cloth seems very ordinary, but it is actually very effective. You soak it in water, squeeze out, and it really does magically seem to become cooler. Perfect for wiping down overheated face or body.
The little Rilakkuma is a small stand-up summer scene of Rilakkuma on a bright yellow base. A cute thing to add to your kawaii display.
Summer Friends Washing Net
The booklet tells you all the various ways in which this cute net can be used. I have the whale character from Sumikko Gurashi, though there are also characters from Sanrio and Rilakkuma too. It looks simple but it’s actually incredibly useful. It zips shut, and it’s perfect for putting damp bathing suits in at the beach. But I actually like it best as a laundry net for delicate items. It’s something I’ve always meant to buy, and so now I don’t have to! Plus anything I’d buy wouldn’t be nearly as adorable.
