The Vegan Kind – October 2018

The Vegan Kind is a monthly food and lifestyle subscription box where everything is 100% vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, so you don’t need to spend hours checking all of the labels and ingredients as they’ve done all the hard work for you! Each box will contain around 5-8 products from a variety of categories and there’s always an excellent mix of items included such as food, drink, toiletries, household, lifestyle and more.

This month’s box is a great example of what you can expect if you decide to sign up to The Vegan Kind, so let’s take a closer look at the goodies!

Rhythm 108 Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Praline Bar (RRP £1.43)

I’ve tried Rhythm 108 before and their chocolate bars are seriously out of this world amazing! This one is organic, gluten-free and features a chewy praline, oat and quinoa filling, which is smothered in creamy, smooth, dark Swiss chocolate. Each bar contains only 7g of natural sugar as well and it’s also high in fibre.

Pipers Salsa Verde Crispeas (RRP £1.19)

A brand new release from the popular Pipers crisps brand, these Crispeas are made from a blend of real peas and rice, making them a good source of protein and fibre. Each bag is only 91 calories as well, so ideal for those who are looking for a healthier alternative to crisps.

LoofCo Washing Up Pad (RRP £2.75)

As much as I enjoy the food element of The Vegan Kind’s lifestyle boxes, I also really love the fact that they often include eco-friendly products like this Washing Up Pad from LoofCo. Hand-made in Egypt, these pads are created from the natural Loofah Plant which is 100% biodegradable and of course, plastic-free. They last for months and once worn out, can be composted – how clever is that?!

Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie in Pumpkin Spice (RRP £1.99)

As it’s Halloween this month, I was hoping for some seasonal treats in this month’s box and TVK has delivered with a Pumpkin Spice Cookie from Lenny & Larry’s – yum! This is no ordinary cookie though as it can be eaten to replace a meal or as a post-workout snack as each one contains a whopping 16g of plant-based protein.

Rubies In The Rubble Pink Onion & Chilli Relish (RRP £1.99)

Rubies In The Rubble make award-winning products using fresh fruit and vegetable that would otherwise be wasted and sent to landfill (often because they’re rejected by supermarkets for not being the right size etc – the madness!). This Pink Onion & Chilli Relish is one of the brand’s bestsellers and it’s absolutely delicious as a veggie burger or hot dog topping.

The Treat Kitchen Unicorn Feed Magic Hearts (RRP £2.50)

This fun box of sweets contains gummy shaped hearts which are low fat, gluten-free and made with all natural ingredients. The perfect Halloween sweet to enjoy when you’re watching your favourite horror movie!

Scrummies Fruit Mix (RRP £0.60)

Finally, the last product in this month’s The Vegan Kind lifestyle box is a snack pack of Scrummies which are naturally flavoured cranberries and raisins – perfect for popping into lunchboxes and handbags for an easy, healthy snack on the go or at your work desk.
