TreatBox – August 2016: Dream Big

I love subscription boxes, I’ve tried stationery boxes, food boxes and beauty boxes! I love the mystery and the surprises inside each month; some can be amazing and others can be a little hit and miss. I have tried a few subscriptions but nothing like TreatBox!DSC08274

The August Treatbox is the first one I have tried so I didn’t really know what to expect especially as I haven’t tried a lifestyle subscription box before but I am so happy with the August box. The theme for the August box is ‘dream big’ and the box includes eight products which is amazing as usually you get less than that in boxes this size. Unlike other boxes, this one fits easily through my letter box so you don’t have to be in for it to be delivered.

This month’s box features a wide range of products from beauty and stationery to food and homeware. The product that instantly caught my eye was a cute little bag and inside it was a set of LED lights which is perfect for me as mine from Primark have just bitten the dust and these are so much better. The lights are on a wire which you can bend so they fit around anything – best subscription box product ever!

There was also a couple of cute stationery items in the box (and I love stationery!) including three adorable cards with envelopes, an inspirational and gorgeous print that says ‘follow your dreams’ and lastly for stationery, a set of two A6 notebooks that, like the print, have copper foil text *so instagrammable*.

The food item in this box brought back so many memories from primary school, as it was Rainbow Drops which I haven’t had since I was about ten years old. I always had some kind of chocolate or sweets in my packed lunch in primary school and it was either Daim bars, Magic Stars or Rainbow Drops – all of which are amazing and if you are a 90’s kid like me then you will know what I’m talking about.

Beauty boxes were the main subscription boxes that I subscribed to so it was nice to have a beauty item in this box as it makes it a really well rounded mix of products. The beauty item was a set of five mini bath bombs which are so adorable. Some of the bath bombs have a clean, soapy scents and others are more sweet and fruity.

There’s one homeware product in the box and it’s an ‘enjoy the little things’ ceramic coaster which is actually quite heavy and it’s really cute – I feel like I’ve typed cute so many times in this review but I can’t help it! Lastly, the final item in the box was a iron on rainbow patch which would be perfect for DIY and craft lovers. It is so cute and it would be perfect added to a denim jacket or a pair of denim shorts! I haven’t had any iron on patches since I was in high school so this box was a bit nostalgic for me which I wasn’t expecting.

Our score: 8.4/ 10

Overall, the presentation and packaging of the August TreatBox was amazing; everything is so instagrammable! It contains some of my favourite things such as stationery, bath bombs and cute nostalgic sweet treats. This was a perfect fun and colourful summer box of goodies and I hope they come out with some gorgeous autumn boxes!
