TheVeganKind Beauty Box review

A little while ago we reviewed the VeganKind box and we pretty much loved it. Now the folks at VeganKind have started a box filled with exclusive vegan beauty products and we just had to review it.

The box was filled with lovely vegan products.
Fairy Pants Candy Cane Lip Balm:
I can’t fault the smell of this lip balm- if you close your eyes it could easily be mistaken for a candy cane. Although I was disappointed when this scent wasn’t reflected in the taste, I sought comfort in the fact that it meant the product could actually stay in my lips rather than me having to frequently reapply it. As far as lip balms go it’s very moisturising and didn’t leave me feeling like I constantly needed more. The slight downfall was I ended up with clumps on my lips occasionally if I hadn’t looked in the mirror when I applied it.

B. Lip and Cheek Tint:Vegan Beauty Box
Compared to other lip tints which I have tried this one is far more pigmented, (which surprised me), contrasting the preconceived ideas which I already had from trying similar products. It also had incredible staying power without drying my lips out at all. As a cheek tint however I don’t feel it is as successful, the consistency is slightly too sticky and therefore doesn’t blend properly.

Organic Surge Million Dollar Balm:
This product is ideal for the winter months to apply on any area where the skin is particularly dry, an inevitable downside of the cold (amongst many others). I did find that it was very greasy and so when I applied it, I had to do so sparingly, an upside to this being that it will definitely last a long time.

Freya Luna Happy Feet Foot bath:
I never look after my feet, in fact I don’t think I own one pair of actually ‘comfortable’ shoes, so for once I enjoyed looking after my feet and indulging in this foot bath. Afterwards they were so soft and they smelt divine,  I resented putting them in shoes again the next day!

Freya Luna Skin Support Facial Steam Bath:
My skin is problematic so I was dubious when it came to trying this facial steam bath, but it softened my skin as promised without causing any irritation. I don’t think it would prevent or even eliminate skin problems but it definitely soothed and left my skin looking and feeling rejuvenated. The experience itself was relaxing and almost therapeutic, the only downside was that it took a while.
In conclusion, The Vegan Kind Beauty Box is a great purchase if you want to try vegan beauty products without spending a fortune. It costs £15 and is sent out every 3 months. As all the products supplied in the beauty box are cruelty free and vegan, they are better for you and better for the planet. They’re also guaranteed to be over £15 in value so it’s a great economical choice too.

I’m really impressed by the quality and selection of products I have received. I’d definitely consider ordering again, especially as a gift. Even for someone who doesn’t share my ideals, it’s a beautiful box and they would be thrilled with the products too!
