The Vegan Kind – March 2020

Thinking of going vegan but don’t know where to start? Let The Vegan Kind introduce you to this cruelty-free lifestyle with their amazing subscription box! Every month, you’ll receive a surprise selection of vegan-friendly food, drink and lifestyle products to enjoy, and as they’ve checked all the labels and ingredients for you, it takes all the stress out!

This month’s box is a brilliant example of what they have to offer, so let’s take a look at the goodies:-

London Apron Plant-Based Meringues (RRP £2.99)

Thought meringues could only be made with egg whites? Think again! Thanks to London Apron, you can enjoy these deliciously sweet and crunchy plant-based meringues which are made with 100% natural ingredients. The key to their light and airy texture is Aquafaba (chickpea water) and they are gluten-free so a wonderful way to make yourself a vegan Eton Mess dessert!

Zest Vegan Basil Pesto (RRP £2.20)

Made from only the leaf of the Basil Plant, this vegan-friendly Pesto from Zest contains no dairy cheese and is free from artificial ingredients. Simply stir it through your favourite pasta or try it with some gnocchi, it’s very tasty!

Bananito Solar Dried Banana Bar Dark Chocolate (RRP £0.99)

High in fibre, this chunky Bananito Bar has a yummy natural sweetness to it and it tastes extra indulgent thanks to the generous Dark Chocolate coating. Crushed Almonds add even more flavour for a bar that you can eat on the go wherever you are.

Love Raw Butter Cups in Cookie Dough (RRP £2.09)

Oh wow, these are incredible! Available in five tempting flavours, these Chocolate Cups are filled with a Cookie Dough based Nut Butter and are free from palm oil and artificial ingredients. I can’t believe they are only 100 calories per cup either – they are super moreish!

Ecozone Anti-Bacterial Multi-Surface Wipes (RRP £2.49)

Unlike most mainstream surface wipes, these ones from Ecozone are 100% biodegradable and feature a fast-dry formula for easy cleaning. They are alcohol-free and kill 99% of the most common types of bacteria including E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella and MRSA.

Emily Snacks Veg Thins in Sea Salt flavour (RRP £0.89)

At only 92 calories per pack, these brand new Veg Thins from Emily Snacks are made with real vegetables and are high in fibre, gluten-free and of course, vegan-friendly. Delicious to munch on their own or with your favourite dip – I love them with some homemade houmous!

Remedy Drinks Ginger Lemon Kombucha (RRP £2.20)

I’m a big of drinking Kombucha to support my gut health so I was pleased to find this refreshing Ginger Lemon flavour from Remedy Drinks. It’s free from added sugar and has a slightly tangy ginger beer flavour to it.

Mackies Haggis & Cracked Black Pepper Potato Crisps (RRP £0.95)

The last product in this month’s box is a Scottish speciality – Haggis & Black Pepper flavoured Crisps from Mackies! These are super crunchy and perfect to have with a cold beer or cider – yum!
