The Vegan Kind – August 2019

Veganism is on the rise in the UK (and pretty much everywhere else too!), so if you’ve been curious about going vegan or simply want to see what kind of vegan snacks and food is out there, The Vegan Kind has made it super easy for you to make the switch to a cruelty-free lifestyle.

Each month, you’ll receive their box which is crammed full of vegan-friendly products to discover, most of which are food-based with the occasional beauty or eco-friendly lifestyle treat thrown in for good measure.

Want to find out more? Here are the contents of this month’s The Vegan Kind box:-

Super Fudgio Chocolate Dragees (RRP £2.19)

A brand new product from Super Fudgio, these Chocolate Dragees are like vegan chocolate M&M’s and they’re amazing! Free from gluten and palm oil, and made from organic natural ingredients, these are seriously moreish and I’m very tempted to buy some more to see how they hold up in baking – chocolate chunk cookies anyone?!

Nairn’s Pop Oats in BBQ (RRP £0.85)

At only 83 calories per pack, these new Pop Oats from Nairn’s are a lighter and healthier alternative to regular crisps. The crispy wholegrain oat-based circles are ‘popped’ for a satisfying crunch and come seasoned in a tasty BBQ flavour. Wonderfully gluten-free and perfect with a sandwich or bowl of soup for lunch.

Hadleigh Maid Dark Chocolate Almond Nut Butter Bar (RRP £1.99)

I love anything that has Almond Butter in it, so naturally, I knew I was going to enjoy this indulgent chunky Dark Chocolate Bar from Hadleigh Maid. The thick creamy chocolate contains a soft truffle-esque centre with a smooth layer of Almond Butter sandwiched in between. A real sweet treat for any chocoholic!

Eat Natural Simply Vegan Fruit & Nut Bar (RRP £0.89)

Vegans can now enjoy an Eat Natural Fruit & Nut Bar which comes packed full of wholesome natural ingredients such as Peanuts, Coconut, Turkish Apricots, roasted Chickpeas and mixed Seeds. There’s even a cheeky layer of Dark Chocolate on the bottom to make it more indulgent – super yummy.

Tiptree Wilkins And Sons Mango & Chilli Popcorn (RRP £1.29)

Free from nuts, gluten, artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, Tiptree have come out with a light and tasty Popcorn which is cooked in small batches for ultimate freshness. I wasn’t quite sure about this Mango & Chilli flavour at first, but the unusual pairing with popcorn is starting to grow on me!

Banana Joe Hickory BBQ Crisps (RRP £0.99)

Made from young green Bananas, these interesting, award-winning Crisps are a healthier alternative that has a deliciously moreish crispy texture and a sweet and tangy Hickory BBQ flavour. There’s a little bit of smoky heat in there too which made them even nicer in my opinion.

Plenish Drinks Chocolate Almond Shake (RRP £2.39)

Blended with pure Cocoa for a rich and chocolatey treat that’s low in saturated fat, this dairy-free shake is only 130 calories per bottle and contains less than half the sugar of leading dairy-based chocolate milkshakes. An easy switch, I’m sure you’ll agree!

Oh K! Gold Foil Sheet Mask (RRP £5)

To round of this month’s The Vegan Kind box, there’s a sheet mask from the Korean beauty brand, Oh K! Hydrating and nourishing, this Gold Foil Sheet Mask is perfect for a luxury pamper session at home.
