The Tail Wagger

This is a really lovely subscription box for your canine family members, and ours was tremendously excited to be reviewing it!

We reviewed the Standard box, which typically contains 4-6 items, and costs £21.99 per month, with free UK postage. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, and can even be gifted to someone else. The boxes are shipped out twice a month, so you shouldn’t have to wait more than a couple of weeks to receive your first box; further boxes will be sent on the same day each month.

The box came addressed to Biscuit himself, and he could tell instantly that there was something tasty in it for him. In fact, he managed to get his nose straight in it while we were trying to take photos of its contents! We managed to get a photo of the toothbrush-shaped chew before he took it off, and that kept him busy for the next fifteen minutes so we could list the rest of the items included.

All the items in The Tail Wagger’s box are natural, and where possible, locally sourced, so you can feel good about treating your dog. Biscuit received some dried fish fillet pieces, dried ox liver slices, beef treats, and wheat & gluten free double cheese oaties. Before the box was sent out, we answered some questions about Biscuit’s diet preferences, so we can be sure there’s nothing in the box that we won’t be happy for him to eat.

In addition, there was a large rope chew toy – apparently great for fresh breath and healthy teeth. It really did smell of mint, and Biscuit has had a good few play sessions with it. Being a strong chewer, it’s very unusual for any toy to stand up to his chomping, but this toy did. Seriously, I can’t tell you how many ‘indestructible’ toys have ended up in the bin…!

One final item added was a little bowtie: I’m guessing it was meant for Biscuit to wear, but it’s really too small for such a big dog, and I’m not a fan of dressing up dogs anyway. However, it was still a sweet touch.

Unfortunately, Biscuit doesn’t have the bank account, credit or debit card, or PayPal account to buy this subscription service himself, but I’m sure he would absolutely love it if somebody else bought it for him.
