Ten Teas are loose-leaf tea specialists who have a vast range of different blends to liven up your daily routine. Ethically sourced and packaged in biodegradable/compostable pouches, their Explorer Boxes are sent out quarterly to reduce their carbon footprint and minimise excessive waste.
In each box, you’ll discover ten exciting tea blends across the whole flavour spectrum and their latest Autumn box has flavours that are absolutely perfect for the colder months ahead.
Here’s what’s inside:-
1 – Breakfast Tea – Assam Breakfast Blend
A high-quality Assam which has an expressive aroma and a slightly spicy and malty character, this blend is ideal for cold mornings to get you ready for the day ahead. Full-bodied and full of flavour.
2 – Estate Tea – Castleton Autumnal
There are lots of Autumn themed teas in this box of course, and the quarterly Estate Tea pick is a delicious Autumn Flush tea which is wonderfully aromatic and has a subtle and classic Darjeeling flavour. The colour is also a stunning amber in the cup which is very autumnal!
3 – Chai Tea – Hemp Chai
Chai Teas are one of my all-time favourites and this Hemp Chai has lots of classic spicy notes of Cinnamon and Peppercorns, but has also been combined with sweet Chocolate flavours which add a little sweetness and round off the more herbal notes from the Hemp leaves. Deliciously different.
4 – Flavoured Tea – Black Plum Saffron
An intensely fruity and seasonally spicy cuppa with local Plums, spicy Saffron and nutty Quinoa flakes. Another exquisite and unusual tea blend that works very well, especially when drunken in the autumn/winter months.
5 – Fruit Infusion Tea – Fruity Apple Cider
This alcohol-free fruity infusion features the best seasonal flavours of juicy Apples, Elderberries, Currants and Rosehip with lovely hints of autumnal spices such as Cinnamon and Aniseed. I sometimes find fruit teas a little too sweet for my liking but this one really benefits from having some tarter flavours thrown into the mix.
6 – Functional Tea – Mindful Moringa
The quarterly pick for the Functional Tea (e.g healthy tea blends with added benefits), is called Mindful Moringa which combines this healthy herb with fruits which are high in Vitamins A, C & E, and Dandelion and Saffron for additional flavour and antioxidants.
7 – Herbal Tea – Fall Foilage
With a sumptuous blend of juicy Apples, Cherries, sweet Figs and Pumpkin, this tea has lots of classic autumnal spices for those who are not quite ready for the Winter season just yet! This is truly ‘autumn in a cuppa’!
8 – Green Tea – Organic Autumnal Sencha
I’m a huge fan of Green Tea and drink several cups a day so I was very excited to try this special Organic Autumnal Sencha blend. It has Cinnamon, Ginger, Sencha Green Tea, Apple, Pumpkin, Safflower, Figs and sugared Almonds for a fruity and warming organic tea that is wonderfully comforting and full of flavour.
9 – Rooibos Tea – Gingerbread Rooibos
Caffeine-free Rooibos is another favourite of mine and this Gingerbread flavoured Rooibos is one of the nicest that I’ve ever tried. Lots of notes of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom and sweet Honey give it a seasonal flavour, whilst a little added Hot Pepper helps to really spice things up!
10 – Oolong Tea – Maple-Walnut Oolong
The last tea in the box is another flavourful winner – Maple-Walnut Oolong. As you can see in the photo above, the pieces of Walnuts are pretty big which help to infuse into the tea along with the sweet and sugary brittle pieces. A lovely cuppa to enjoy after dinner instead of a dessert or whenever you need to satisfy a sweet tooth.
