Summerton Whisky Club is a British whisky subscription that sends members a full bottle of carefully chosen whisky every other month. Since its launch it has hunted down single malts, blended malts, single grains, bourbons and ryes from Scotland, America, Australia, England, Germany, Ireland, Sweden and beyond. Several of its Club Bottles are exclusives you will not find on supermarket shelves. One price covers the bottle, postage and packaging.

How Summerton Whisky Club works
The nicest touch comes at sign up: instead of waiting for the next delivery month, you receive a previous Club Bottle, picked at random, straight away. After that, payment is taken early in each delivery month and bottles ship around the 20th, arriving within three working days. You can update your address or card, pause for one or two months, or cancel from the member area of the website at any time.
Membership is more than a parcel. Members get a 10% discount code for the Club Shop, access to private online chat groups with fellow members, and invitations to events such as the Summerton Whisky Festival. Optional extra bottles are also offered alongside each Club Bottle for anyone who wants to go further.

What’s in a typical Summerton Whisky Club delivery
Each delivery is one full size bottle, chosen by the club and kept as a surprise. The range is deliberately broad, from aged Scotch to world whiskies. Past Club Bottles include:
- Benromach Contrasts Unpeated 12 Year Old, sherry cask matured
- anCnoc 16 Year Old Highland single malt
- Port Dundas 20 Year Old single grain
- Invergordon 20 Year Old single grain
- Paul John Classic Select Cask Indian single malt
- Fielden Hazybower Rye from England
Expect some peated whisky along the way: the club is upfront that smoky drams will appear, as it believes a great one can change a sceptic’s mind.

What makes Summerton Whisky Club different
Most whisky subscriptions in the UK send sample drams. Summerton sends the whole bottle, and it leans towards older and harder to find releases rather than the bestsellers of the whisky aisle. Its own exclusives, such as a single cask English single malt, give the club a personality of its own, and the community side, with chat groups, a shop discount and a festival, makes it feel closer to a real members club than a delivery service.

Is Summerton Whisky Club worth it?
For whisky lovers who already know their way around a bottle and want to be surprised, yes. At £59.95 delivered every two months you are paying about the price of a good aged single malt, and the club’s line up of 16 and 20 year old whiskies suggests it is not filling boxes with entry level bottles. The bimonthly rhythm is also kinder to your shelf space and your bank balance than a monthly club. It is less suited to beginners who want to taste widely before committing, as one full bottle is a bigger bet than a set of samples, and you cannot choose what arrives.
Pros
- A full size bottle every delivery, often aged or exclusive
- A previous Club Bottle sent the moment you join
- Free UK delivery, no hidden costs, pause or cancel online
- Club Shop discount, member chat groups and events
Cons
- No choice or swaps on the Club Bottle
- Only six deliveries a year
- A big commitment for beginners compared with tasting sets

Is Summerton Whisky Club worth it?
Yes if you enjoy discovering aged and unusual whiskies and are happy to trust the club’s choice. If you would rather sample before buying full bottles, a tasting set subscription is a better fit.
