Perfume is such a personal thing, and finding your signature scent can be a bit of a challenge! Secret Scent Box makes it easy to try out perfumes by sending three small vials every month, with plenty to try out for different times and occasions.
Also included are scent notes card, which is a really useful way of identifying your personal preferences and the kinds of scents you enjoy.
Esccada – Flor del Sol
This is quite a new scent released in 2020. Fruit is a powerful top note in this perfume, and reminds me a little of beach cocktails. I don’t get much of the floral, but the sandalwood base notes come through relatively quickly for a much calmer subtle scent. This is definitely a young summery scent, still quite sweet but it doesn’t become overwhelming.
Issey Miyake – L’Eau D’Issey Summer
This is a new perfume from 2022 and definitely hits the ‘floral but not sweet’ notes. The neroli and bergamot seem slightly dry, which is tempered by the more watery notes, which is a really good balance. I found it a slightly powdery scent, and reminded me a little of sun lotion, but the base note of coconut is a very pleasant end. I didn’t find it lasted too well, but once again this is a very nice scent for summer, and as it’s not overly sweet it’s good for any age.
Juicy Couture – Oui
Juicy is the right word for this fragrance! The watermelon really pops, almost like a candy scent with a tiny touch of citrus. It’s bright and sharp, and saved from being overly sweet by the amber and musk base notes. This is another perfect summer scent, again on the younger side of the market but not too girly.
