For a beauty box with a difference, look no further than Roccabox. Each month, they collaborate with a different beauty influencer to curate a specially curated box of treats that will please anyone who loves their makeup and skincare products. The box is slightly larger size-wise than the likes of Glossybox and Birchbox, but you still get 5 products and these can be a combination of full size and travel size/samples.
January’s Roccabox arrived recently and is a collaboration with Penny Lane, founder and editor of The Style Lane.
Here’s what she’s chosen for this latest edit:-
Akar Skin Ruby Tint Lip Butter (2ml sample, full size retails for £9)
First up, I found a small sample pot of Akar Skin Ruby Tint Lip Butter. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but they’re a cruelty-free, Tibetan inspired beauty brand that does a range of skincare and cosmetics. This lip butter is 100% natural, free from petroleum and mineral oil, and contains 100% organic and wild-harvested ingredients which I think is fantastic to see! I really love this lip butter as it feels very moisturising and has a gorgeous subtle red tint that gives the lips a nice wash of colour to brighten them up.
Face Inc by Nails Inc Rose Glow Youth Boosting Peel Off Mask (1 mask, RRP £5)
For skincare this month, I was pleased to see one of the new Face Inc masks which is the same company as Nails Inc. This single-use pod contains a radiance boosting peel-off mask that’s rich in Vitamin B and helps to tackle any problem areas. It also hydrates, gently exfoliates and naturally increases the skin’s luminosity for a natural glow. Sounds good to me!
Lord & Berry Seta Premiere Eyeshadow in Too Mary (full size, RRP £12)
Sadly, my Lord & Berry eyeshadow arrives smashed, but I’m going to have a go at pressing it myself as it’s a beautiful purple shade and the powder itself feels very silky soft to the touch.
Opiat The Hungover Coffee Scrub in Potent Peppermint (10g sachet sample, full size retails for £6.99)
Next up, I found a small sachet sample of Opiat’s popular The Hungover Coffee Scrub. This one comes in a very refreshing and uplifting Potent Peppermint scent which is amazing for helping you to wake up in the morning! It contains a blend of Arabica Coffee grounds, Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil to buff and polish your body perfectly.
Saturated Colour Make Me Shimmer Highlighter Pencil (full size, RRP £6)
The fifth and final product in this month’s Roccabox is a full-size Make Me Shimmer Highlighter Pencil from Saturated Colour Cosmetics. I actually received this in a different beauty box a while ago, so I’m going to pass it onto my sister, but it’s a beautiful creamy highlighter crayon that you can use on any area of the face to brighten it up. Lovely stuff!
