Roccabox – February 2018

Looking for a new monthly beauty box to try out? Why not have a look at Roccabox? Roccabox works with a range of beauty experts and influencers, to bring you the best-curated edits every month and I like how they often feature different brands that you don’t always see in the other beauty boxes.

There are five beauty treats in every Roccabox, which could be a mix of full-size and deluxe/travel size products. February’s box doesn’t have a specific theme as such, but it’s packed full of beauty items such as miracle products and make-up must-haves, which sounds good to me!

Here’s what I found inside this month’s box:-

Laritzy Cosmetics Undressed Liquid Lip Stain in Deep Orchid (full size, RRP £14)

The first product that I pulled out was a full-size Liquid Lip Stain from the cruelty-free Montreal based cosmetics brand, Laritzy. This is their popular Undressed Liquid Lip Stain in a gorgeous Deep Orchid colour. It has a lovely velvet matte finish, makes your lips look fuller and poutier, and the colour is long-lasting as it gives a nice deep stain to the lips. Perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy in Venetian Violet (10g travel size, full size retails for £14)

I use hand cream practically every day, so I’m always happy to receive a new one to try out and this one from Crabtree and Evelyn not only looks pretty in your handbag or desk drawer, but it smells amazing! It has a luxuriously thick and rich formula that provides instant moisture to even the driest hands. A Winter must-have for sure.

Doucce Bold Control Graphic Marker Pen (full size, RRP £15)

I haven’t heard of this German makeup brand before, but I’m always on the hunt for new eyeliners to try out and this Bold Control Graphic Marker Pen certainly looks interesting. The waterproof formula sounds very promising and despite the overall thickness, the nib is very easy to work with, without any tugging or pulling issues. I’ve tested it twice so far and it’s stood up to the recent snow and rain without smudging or fading which is really impressive!

Patchology Flash Patch Restoring Night Eye Gels (1 pack, full pack of 5 pairs retails for £18)

Moving onto skincare, I was happy to see some Eye Patches as I’ve become quite addicted to using them in my evening skincare routine, or as a pampering treat when I’m feeling tired or run down. These ones from Patchology are gel based and contain Retinol, Peptides and Arnica to soothe, brighten and fight wrinkles in just five minutes. How awesome is that?!

StyLondon Oval Foundation Brush (RRP £7.99)

Lastly, there’s a very cool Oval shaped Foundation Brush from StyLondon. I was a little concerned that this was going to be too small to use with foundation when I first saw it, but I needn’t have been as it’s perfect and creates a beautiful finish. It buffs any liquid base into the skin effortlessly and feels really nice and soft too.

Our score: 9.2/ 10

This month's Roccabox is definitely better in my opinion than their January box and it's great to see them back on form! Lots of new discoveries for me this time around including the Patchology Eye Gels and the Doucce Eyeliner.
