RAISE Snacks nut clusters: the Dragons’ Den snack that won five offers costs £1.50 a bag

RAISE founder Chester Robinson pitching in the Dragons' Den with bags of nut and seed clusters behind him

RAISE makes crunchy clusters of nuts and seeds in 35g bags, from a recipe founder Chester Robinson’s mum used to make him. On 27 August 2026, every Dragon in the Den made him an offer. On 22 October 2026, the Dragons’ Den Taster Pack with one bag of each of the six flavours costs £9.99 on the brand’s shop, and a box of 12 bags is £18, or £1.50 a bag. Subscribe and you save 15%: £8.49 for the taster pack and £15.30 for a box of 12.

So is this the healthy snack that finally tastes like a treat, or a pricey bag of granola bites with a TV moment behind it? Here is our take.

Who is behind RAISE?

Chester Robinson set up RAISE Snacks Ltd in January 2021, according to Companies House, and started out with his mum’s living room as a storeroom. The brand’s big break came through Sainsbury’s: in February 2023 the supermarket named RAISE among the first three brands from its incubator for Black-founded food and drink businesses to reach its shelves. RAISE is not brand new, then, but its national profile is: the Dragons’ Den episode is what put it in front of millions of viewers.

According to the Intellectual Property Office’s Dragons’ Den blog, Chester pitched in series 23, episode 9, with Gary Neville as guest Dragon. He received offers from all five Dragons and shook hands with the two he had hoped for: Steven Bartlett and Gary Neville, in a £50,000 deal. The blog notes RAISE was already stocked by Sainsbury’s and Leon and about to launch on Ocado.

What is inside a bag?

Each 35g bag holds bite-sized clusters of roasted nuts and seeds bound with a little chocolate, maple or fruit. According to the brand, the range covers six flavours:

  • Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt (billed as the “Dragons’ favourite”).
  • Dark Chocolate & Orange.
  • Maple & Roasted Pecan.
  • Caramel Cocoa & Sea Salt.
  • Raspberry & Roasted Almond.
  • Toasted Coconut & Almond.

Taking Maple & Roasted Pecan as an example, the label lists almonds, cashews and pecans (42%), pumpkin and sunflower seeds (10%), chicory root fibre, gluten-free oats and rice crisp. Per 100g it gives 489kcal, 12.1g of protein, 12.7g of fibre and 11g of sugars, so a 35g bag works out at about 171kcal, 4g of protein and under 4g of sugar. The clusters are gluten free, according to RAISE.

How much does it cost?

On 22 October 2026, raisesnacks.co.uk sells:

  • the Dragons’ Den Taster Pack, six bags (one of each flavour) for £9.99, about £1.67 a bag;
  • single flavours in boxes of 12 bags for £18 (£1.50 a bag) or 24 bags for £35 (about £1.46 a bag).

Every product page also offers subscribe and save: 15% off when you choose a delivery every month, every 2 months or every 3 months. That brings the taster pack down to £8.49 (about £1.42 a bag) and a box of 12 Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt to £15.30 (about £1.28 a bag).

Stock is patchy after the show: on the morning of 22 October, Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate & Orange, Maple & Roasted Pecan and the six-bag taster pack are available, while Caramel Cocoa & Sea Salt, Raspberry, Coconut, the mixed box and the 12-bag taster pack show as sold out.

What about the “30% off on subscription” you may have seen? On the brand’s wholesale page, RAISE offers 30% off subscription purchases with a minimum spend of £140, through a code sent after you fill in a form. That deal is aimed at offices, gyms and cafés. For your own snack drawer, the 15% subscribe and save on the product pages is the one to use.

Our take: a better snack, not a cheap one

The good news first. RAISE gets the basics right. The ingredients list is mostly nuts and seeds, the sugar is genuinely low for something with chocolate in it, and 4g of fibre in a 171kcal bag is a real plus when most of us do not eat enough fibre. The customer comments on the brand’s site are glowing (one calls it “easily one of the best snacks” at their local Sainsbury’s), and five offers in the Den is not nothing: the Dragons clearly liked the taste and the founder.

The catch is the format. A 35g bag is a small snack, and £1.50 to £1.67 a bag is premium for a handful of clusters, about the price of a cereal bar from a coffee shop. Buying online only becomes worth it in boxes of 12 or 24, which means committing to one flavour. The subscribe and save softens that: at 15% off, a box of 12 comes down to about £1.28 a bag, which is fair for a product you would naturally reorder every month or two.

Our verdict: RAISE is one of the more convincing better-for-you snacks to come out of the Den, and the taster pack at £9.99 (or £8.49 on subscription) is the smart way in. Just do not expect a bargain, and do not buy into the hype as a health food: it is a tasty, lower-sugar treat. We have not tasted the clusters ourselves.

Who is it for?

It will suit you if you want a lower-sugar alternative to a chocolate bar, need gluten-free snacks for your bag, or want to try the Dragons’ Den flavours. If you would rather have a monthly box of different healthy snacks turn up without thinking about it, The Goodness Project sends vegan and gluten-free snack boxes from small brands on a monthly plan, and our snack box alternatives to Graze compares the others.
