New stationary is always a lovely treat, and Papergang is a great way to increase your stash of lovely paper and stationery items! Papergang works with a different artist each month to produce a range of items featuring their work. A monthly subscription costs £10.95 + 2.95 p+p.
The sleeve of the box shows you this month’s pattern and illustrations. These have a lovely woodland theme. The box itself is thin enough to fit through the mailbox.
The contents are nicely wrapped in tissue paper.
The little menu booklet.
The booklet gives you a list of the contents with values.
There’s also an interview with this month’s artist.
This is the A5-ish notebook. The cover features the scene from the box sleeve.
Inside there are two kids of pages, plain with lined opposite.
These three pencils each have a different of the featured pattern, plus one with a fun logo. They are unsharpened, and have an eraser on the end.
This washi tape has little elements from the scene, and is very pretty.
Finally, a greeting card and the monthly calendar sheet. The card is blank inside, so you can use it for any occasion.
I really like this month’s design. The woodland scene is lovely and the muted earth colours are beautiful, so I wish there had been a little more of it! I would have liked to have had a little bit of embellishment on the pages of the notebook, and possibly a ribbon marker, which I think is essential in a premium quality notebook. However it’s still a very nice notebook with a thick soft cover and good quality pages.
The greeting card design is even more gorgeous, all the little cacti, and I would have loved to have something else with it on.
The pencils are also lovely, though I’m not sure I needed three! I think because they and the washi tape are small, and there is only one card, it feels slightly skimpy this month. It’s actually not at all, the value itself is fine, it’s a nice collection and a good price, but it would have been nice to have more than one greeting card, or possibly something else rather then two of the pencils.
