October brings magic with Halloween, and nomakenolife has put together a selection of beauty goodies to create some magical looks.
The menu booklet tells you all about the items inside, and there’s also information about one of the featured brands, Witch’s Pouch, a K-Beauty brand that combines kawaii looks with a magical packaging vibe.
Witch’s Pouch POPO Lipstick, Witch’s Pouch Liquid Highlighter, Twisted Wonderland Eyebrow Pencil
The lipstick comes in two possible colours, pink or burgundy, and it’s a lovely product that contains moisturising oils that give it a lovely sheen. It can be layered as well so you can choose how intense the colour and coverage is.
The highlighter creates a beautiful subtle sheen. It’s slightly pearlised, and it sinks into the skin so looks both natural and shimmery.
Eyebrow pencils are excellent for neatening up the appearance, and this one in Desert Brown (one of several options) is perfect for my dark eyebrows. The pencil is the twist-up type, which I think is much better than a regular pencil.
Play On Make Mirage Eyeshadow Palette, Witch’s Pouch Mix Blusher
I love the makeup palettes from nomakenolife as it means I always have a wonderful selection to choose from. This one is nine colours with everything from pale highlight to deep lavender, and including shimmering textures, which is wonderful for creating a large variety of looks.
The blusher is the classic powder type, and although the colour looks quite strong in the compact the colour can be applied lightly for a natural look or layered for a bit more drama. It’s smooth and goes on very well with a brush and is easily blended too.

The sheet mask is specifically created to be used before bedtime, especially useful if you’ve been up late partying! It contains moisturising ingredients including collagen and hyaluronic acid, and also has a lovely citrus scent for maximum relaxation.
Compact mirrors are always useful to pop into your bag, and the My Melody/Kuromi mirror is my mystery Sanrio item. There is also a comb or makeup holder, but I really like having a small mirror with me, plus the design is super Halloween-y!
I’m always slightly nervous of eyelash curlers, but this compact one is very easy to use, plus it features the ultimate magical character Sailor Moon. It’s small enough to carry with you or it can live happily in your makeup bag.
