Earlier this year, I reviewed a brilliant cocktail subscription box called Muddlebox (check out that review here if you missed it) which sends you all the ingredients that you need to make a range of delicious cocktails in the comfort of your own home to share with your friends and family.
When you sign up to Muddlebox, you fill in a short questionnaire detailing your cocktail tastes and you can choose how many cocktails each box will serve, as well as how often you would like to have them delivered. Muddlebox then matches up your personal tastes to a wide range of cocktails that they have on offer and your box is dispatched by Friday, in time for the weekend!

They have recently added 11 more exciting cocktails to their ever-growing selection and I was kindly sent three of them to try out.
Cocktail Kit 1: Singapore Sling for 2 people
Singapore Sling is one of the most famous cocktails on the planet and this fruity number is bursting full of flavour – perfect for Summer BBQs! This kit contains:-
- 60ml Beefeater London Dry Gin
- 30ml Volare Cherry Brandy Liqueur
- 15ml Cointreau
- 15ml Benedictine
- 30ml Marie Brizard Grenadine Syrup
- 2 x Brtivic Pineapple Juice
- 1 fresh Lime
Each Muddlebox comes complete with a simple set of instructions that show you how to assemble the cocktail and making the Singapore Sling couldn’t be easier! All I needed to do was add everything to a cocktail shaker along with some ice cubes, give it a good shake and then pour into a glass topped with ice. Easy!
This Singapore Sling was delicious in every way and I loved the combination of all the different ingredients – a tasty way to enjoy a sunny weekend :)
Cocktail Kit 2: Cadbury Creme Egg Martini for 2 people
Easter may be a distant memory now, but do you really need it to be Easter to enjoy a Cadbury Creme Egg? Of course not! And this Cadbury Creme Egg Martini is a contemporary classic cocktail in the making! This kit contains:-
- 60ml Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
- 30ml Marie Brizard No 42 Creme De White Cacao
- 2 x Cadbury Creme Eggs
- 1 bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate
- Nestle Carnation Condensed Milk
- UHT Milk Sachets
- Yellow Food Colouring
Muddlebox gives this cocktail its highest difficulty rating (3 stars) and as you can see, it didn’t quite go to plan… Obviously, I’m going to blame my sister here who 1) left the bar of Cadbury Milk Chocolate in the car on the hottest day of the year where it turned into a liquid mess, and 2) assembled the cocktail whilst I was upstairs. Ah well!
Despite its appearance not completely matching the image on the cocktail card, I must admit that it tasted a LOT better than it looks so let’s not judge a cocktail by its appearance, shall we?! The Cadbury Creme Egg Martini is a deliciously sweet and creamy cocktail that tastes like a liquid pudding – what’s not to love?
Cocktail Kit 3: Pornstar Martini for 2 people
The third and final cocktail kit that I had the pleasure of trying from Muddlebox is the ever popular Pornstar Martini which is a drink that I often treat myself to when I’m having a night out with a group of girlfriends. This is another tasty fruity number and features my favourite fruit, Passionfruit – yum! This kit contains:-
- 100ml Canti Prosecco
- 60ml Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka
- 30ml Passionfruit Liqueur
- 30ml Marie Blizard Sugar Syrup
- 2 x fresh Passionfruit
- 1 x fresh Lime
I prefer my Pornstar Martini still, rather than fizzy, so I enjoyed the Canti Prosecco as a shot on the side as suggested by Muddlebox. This cocktail really is one of the best and the blend of Vodka with the sweet and tart fruity notes works exceptionally well. Another excellent choice to enjoy this Summer!
