Mr Big Tops Subscription Box

Mr Big Tops Subscription Box

I immediately knew Mr Big Tops scrumptious subscription service was going to be right up my street! As a self confessed sweetie-aholic I was rather hotly anticipating the arrival of this through my letterbox.  With such high expectations it wouldn’t have been a surprise if I had set myself up for disappointment…

…but of course Mr Big Tops didn’t let me down!

It arrived promptly in a brightly coloured, perfectly sized box.  One thing I like is it’s letterbox sized, so there’s no need to be in to sign for it or traipsing to the sorting office to pick it up.  You can simply arrive home after a long day at work to this yummy treat sitting on your doormat.  Talk about a wonderful way to perk up the day!

The box has four large window tabs which you peel back, much like an advent calendar.  Initially I was expecting there to be four different types of sweets inside, one behind each window but to my pleasant surprise the selection was far wider with a variety of 8 to enjoy.  The selection included:

  • Gummy snakes
  • Gummy dummies
  • Coconut mushrooms
  • Flying saucers
  • Milk chocolate mice
  • Jelly beans (personal favourites!)
  • Wham bar
  • Chupa Chups lolly

The jelly beans, coconut mushrooms, Wham bar and flying saucers were particular highlights but there wasn’t one thing I didn’t enjoy.  I also thought it was good that there was a mix of chocolate thrown in too.

The sweets are all packaged individually in little bags; perfect for throwing into your handbag or putting in a packed lunch if, unlike me, you have to will power not to eat one of everything immediately.

Mr Big Tops Subscription Box

This is such an ideal gift or even just a nice treat for yourself.  Mr Big Tops offers a choice of four subscriptions (twice a week, once a week, fortnightly or once a month) and the price per box slightly differs depending which option you select.  Postage is included for all services.  The most you’ll end up paying per box is £5.49 for the monthly option which I think is pretty good value, especially given the nostalgia element.  Some of the sweets included in this box are real classics and others I hadn’t had in years.  I genuinely felt like a little girl opening it up!

As a side note Mr Big Tops also have a wide selection of gift boxes and build your own if you’re looking for something other than subscription service.  Although why on earth wouldn’t you want this delicious treat sent to you every so often?!

Overall, if you can’t tell already, I really enjoyed Mr Big Tops subscription box.  It provides everything a sugar fiend could want in a really fun way.  The packaging is bright and fun with amusing little anecdotes all over it and I like that advent style windows.  Taking everything into consideration I think it’s good value for money and a worthy treat for yourself or gift for someone else.
