The September LookFantastic box is here and it’s their special birthday box; celebrating six years of their amazing beauty boxes! Their previous birthday boxes have all been incredible value for money and this one is no different as the value of the box is £77!
The birthday box contains six items, some of which are full sized, as well as one extra item. The brands range from Elemis and Diego Dalla Parma to Illamasqua (or TheBalm), ESPA, Luxie and Brushworks. There are a couple of product options you could have received this month but I’m very happy with all of the items I received!
Luxie 209 Large Shader Brush (£15)
I’ll start with the two beauty tools within the box, the first is a brush from Luxie. I received a couple of their brushes with the LookFantastic advent calendar last year and loved them so I was happy to add another to my rather large brush collection. You can pre-order the new 2020 LookFantastic advent calendar now! Use the code: ADVENTNEWSUBS to get £15 off the price, if you’re subscribed to the beauty box (on the 3, 6 or 12 month subscription).
Brushworks Jade Roller (£9.99)
The second beauty tool is a skincare tool that I have wanted for a while – a jade roller. It features a larger and small roller in one and it can be used to massage the skin and reduce puffiness. I’ve been using tools like this for a while and I think they have definitely improved my skin.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream
Moving onto the skincare item within the box and it’s from a brand everyone and their mother loves, Elemis. I’ve only tried a few products from Elemis but I’ve loved everything and this cream is no different. This is the second or third mini sample I’ve tried of their anti-ageing cream and while I don’t need the famous anti-ageing benefit just yet (although at 28, I’m getting there), it is a fantastic face cream.
ESPA Pink Hair & Scalp Mud (£5.10, 30ml)
There are two ESPA products you could have received within your September box, either the micellar cleanser or the hair and scalp mud treatment. I received the latter and I’m glad I did as I am always looking out for more hair and scalp treatments to try. The hair treatment claims to deeply condition the hair to leave your locks silky and soft. I can’t wait to try it!
LookFantastic Beauty Box Pop Socket
There’s a little surprise and added extra within the birthday box and it’s a simple black pop socket for your phone. I don’t have one so it’s a great little addition for me to try out.
Illamasqua Mini OMG Highlighter (£10)
The final two items are both makeup minis, the first is a beautiful mini highlighter from Illamasqua. The shade is a golden champagne which looks so beautiful on the skin and although I think it looks gorgeous as a highlighter on the brow and cheeks bones, I also love the look of it on the eyes too.
Diego Della Parma Mini Lip Pencil (£9.32)
Last but not least is a mini lip pencil in the shade Antique Pink which is the most perfect rosewood or my-lips-but-better shade! This lip pencil is something I would wear everyday as it’s such a flattering shade. It does seems to emphasises dryness slightly but it is nothing a lip scrub and balm won’t fix!
