Shopping for a stylish gift for the man who has everything? Why not consider a luxury sock subscription from The London Sock Company?! Their vast range of socks are not only high-quality and stylish for the discerning gentleman, but it’s also a practical gift that you know will be appreciated and used on a daily basis. Win-win!
The London Sock Company operate a little differently to most other subscription services, as you have to purchase a ‘gift card’ which then activates a subscription for the recipient. Depending on the value of the gift card, your recipient will be able to receive 1, 2 or 3 pairs of socks delivered straight to their door every month, with prices starting from £10. There is a minimum term involved for a subscription which is for 3 months, so for that option, you would receive 1 pair of socks every month for the next 3 months.
You can either choose the socks yourself, or let The London Sock Company surprise you – either way, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed as the range of styles are both varied and interesting, so there’s something for everyone’s tastes. Once the gift card is activated, you can choose sizing etc, so it’s all very easy to set up from their website.
Each month, you or your recipient will receive a pair of luxury socks which are sent in a large envelope that fits easily through your letterbox. The socks are carefully wrapped in delicate tissue paper which really adds that finishing touch to the overall gift experience.
For this month’s socks, I chose the Spot Of Style Classic Black which has been designed by London College of Fashion student, Martina Milana. Inspired by the classic movie Roman Holidays, multicoloured Vespas, polka dots and timeless sense of style.
These socks are finely knitted from a blend of luxury Scottish Lisle cotton (80%), Polyamide (18%) and Elastane (2%), which means that they feel soft and comfortable to wear, yet are strong and durable to last. I really like this simple, yet stylish, black and white polka dot design, which is nicely finished off with The London Sock Company‘s embroidered logo at the top. I selected these for one of my housemates, Dan, who loves them as much as I do!
My only criticism of The London Sock Company is that their range of socks are only designed in London, but are actually made in Portugal. It would be great to see them change this in the future to having the socks made here in England to match their company’s sense of British style much better.
