Here’s this month’s JOMO Club to give you a taster of what you can expect.
The box itself is HUGE and felt very heavy – it’s packed with goodies inside. On top is the JOMO Club magazine which is full of cocktail recipes and interesting features. There’s also the Cocktail Of The Month recipe card too.
Mockingbird Spirit Agave (70cl)
This month’s featured non-alcoholic spirit is the beautifully presented Mockingbird Spirit Agave. As the UK’s first agave-based Tequila alternative, it’s an exciting addition to the market and is also suitable for vegans. One of the key ingredients in this is 100% organic Blue Weber Agave which is sourced directly from Mexico. There’s also the Ayurvedic herb Ashwagandha included for its health benefits.
So what does it take like? This has a smooth, sweet, and slightly spicy flavour with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and habanero for a little kick. It’s wonderfully unique and can be used in any mocktails that require Tequila.
Amplify Zing & Zest Non-Alcoholic Spirit
Next up, I found a full-size bottle of Amplify Zing & Zest Non-Alcoholic Spirit. They won the Gold Award at the 2021 Low & No Masters Awards and their product is an alternative to gin. It has a full-bodied flavour and boasts traditional gin-based botanicals such as Juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, lemon peel, lemongrass and ginseng root for a wonderfully refreshing flavour.
Anon English Garden
With Summer on the way, Anon’s English Garden is a botanical non-alcohol spirit that’s very similar to Pimms. With juicy, fruity hints of strawberry, mint and cucumber, simply mix it with lemonade for an easy summery mocktail.
Luscombe Grapefruit Tonic Water
Enjoy a range of ready-to-enjoy soft drinks and mixers this month, starting with Luscombe Grapefruit Tonic Water. This Devon based company prides itself on crisp and clean tonics and works particularly well with the Amplify Zing & Zest for an alcohol-free G&T.
Humble Warrior Pomegranate Hibiscus
A refreshing sparkling botanical drink, Humble Warrior Pomegranate Hibiscus is the perfect mixer for Mockingbird to create the ‘Cocktail Of The Month’ recipe which I’ve tried – it was delicious!
Genie Kombucha Dry Apple
Lastly, enjoy the energising flavour sensation that is the Great Taste Award winner, Genie Kombucha Dry Apple.
