Calling all gin lovers – I Love Gin is here for you during lockdown and beyond! Delivered to your door every month, you’ll receive two mini bottles of artisan gin and two premium mixers so you can create up to four G&Ts to enjoy at home. It’s a great way to get your gin fix whilst the pubs are shut!
February’s I Love Gin box is here and is themed The Wildlife Box:-
Berkshire Botanical Dry Gin (50cl, 40.3% vol)
Based around the stunning 9,000 acre Yattendon Estate in West Berkshire, Berkshire Botanical Gin is inspired by the botanicals which are locally grown in and around the estate. They also take inspiration from the many wildlife that the estate is home to and you’ll find these characters adorned on the bottles – I’m pleased to see they even have a partnership with the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust to protect local wildlife which is fantastic! Moving onto the gin, this Dry Gin is crisp and delicate with hand-picked botanicals such as Juniper, Coriander, Sweet Orange Peel, Grapefruity and Spruce all playing a part. A delicious dry gin!
Berkshire Botanical Dandelion & Burdock Gin (50cl, 40.3% vol)
Distilled in a traditional copper pot like all the Berkshire Botanical Gins, this Dandelion & Burdock variant is an exciting twist on the classic dry gin. It has hints of Vanilla, Liquorice, Honey, Citrus and Ginger mixed in and works really well with fresh homemade lemonade for extra zest.
Two Keys Green Tea & Lemon Mixers
Sticking with the Wildlife theme of the box, I was pleased to find these two premium mixers from the brand Two Keys to enjoy with the gins above. On the left is the Green Tea Mixer – a sparkling cold brew infusion of premium Japanese Green Teas, and on the right is the Lemon Mixer – a tangy, sparkling mixer that’s made with the juice of the finest Spanish Lemons and inspired by the famous Tom Collins cocktail. Delicious!
