GreenEcoBox – October 2018: Bee Happy Box

If you enjoy discovering new independent brands that are focused on sustainability and have strong eco-friendly credentials, GreenEcoBox is a subscription box that you should be checking out! Working with over 70 artisans from across the UK, Europe and overseas, GreenEcoBox brings its subscribers a monthly box that is packed full of food and lifestyle products.

For every Bee Happy Box sold, GreenEcoBox donates £4.50 to Greenpeace to support environmental projects, as well as planting a tree in Haiti on your behalf (by OneTreePlanted), the latter of which you’ll receive a certificate for in your box – how awesome is that?

This month’s Bee Happy Box feels very Christmassy already which I love, and with the weather now turning much colder here in the UK, it’s the perfect time to try out many of these products, so let’s take a closer look!

Fortwenger Palets aux Noix de Cajou

The first product that I picked up was this delicious bag of sweet biscuits from the French artisans Fortwenger. These crunchy little biscuits are super moreish and feature little pieces of cashew nuts throughout. They are very addictive and would be perfect to share with friends and family over the Christmas period.

Gaspesie Sauvage Dried Mushrooms Mix

As I mentioned earlier, the weather has been turning much colder now and I’m starting to cook more soups and stews as a result, so I was pleased to find this bag of Dried Mushrooms from the Canadian artisans, Gaspesie Sauvage. This mix has a blend of three different varieties of wild mushrooms and they can be used in many dishes such as soups, stuffings, gratins and more.

Koawach Kinder Kakao

Nothing beats a steaming hot mug of cocoa when it’s chilly outside, and this Kinder Kakao is an Organic Jungle Cacao mix from the German artisans Koawach. Made from 44% Cocoa, raw Cane Sugar, a pinch of Cinnamon and some Caramel Coconut Sugar, this mix makes a delicious cup of hot chocolate that’s sweet and comforting.

Autour du Bain Apricot Shower Gel

Next up, I found a full-size bottle of Apricot Shower Gel from the Swiss artisans Autour du Bain. This creamy, jelly formula is bursting with natural ingredients that include Blackcurrant, Sweet Orange, Apricot, Amber Vanilla and White Musk. It can be used in the shower and also in the bath for a luxurious bubble bath experience.

Hnymee Honey Hummel

The last product comes from Germany and is a jar of Hnymee Honey Hummel – an exquisite, high-quality honey that has a deliciously creamy texture to it and a sweet floral taste. Perfect for spreading onto toast or biscuits, or stirred into porridge or tea when you want something sweet.

At the side of the box, I found a small packet of extras which include yummy fairtrade chocolates and fruit teas from Higher Living Organic.

Our score: 10.0/ 10

This month's Green Eco Box is one of my favourites from them yet - I simply loved all of the products, especially the Kinder Kakao and the Fortwenger Biscuits - yum!
