GreenEcoBox – February 2019: Beauty In The Box

Released bi-monthly, GreenEcoBox offers a Beauty In The Box which will instantly appeal to anyone who loves discovering natural and eco-friendly beauty products. Working with a vast network of artisans from across Europe, the Beauty In The Box brings together an exciting selection of beauty treats from small, independent companies that you have probably not heard of before.

As GreenEcoBox are keen to support eco-friendly projects, for each box sold they will donate to two different campaigns/charities every month on your behalf. February’s chosen projects are OneTreePlanted (one tree will be planted for you in Indonesia and you’ll receive a certificate of proof in your box), and €4 will be donated to Water Footprint who help to develop and promote the fair use of fresh water, enabling communities to become more water aware and sustainable in the long term.

The latest Beauty In The Box from GreenEcoBox arrived a couple of days ago and contains the following beauty products:-

Uoga Uoga Strawberry Soap

From Lithuania comes a small artisan company called Uoga Uoga and this is their popular Strawberry Soap. Made from all natural ingredients which include Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Sunflower Oil and Castor Oil, this moisturising soap is scented with natural Strawberry extract and is suitable for vegans to use. It smells so wonderfully fruity and is perfect to use in the bath or shower.

Seifenwerkstatt Pfinztal Organic Rosemary Shampoo

The next product that I took out of the box is an organic shampoo bar which is ideal for those who are cutting down on their plastic waste. Developed especially for dry hair and sensitive scalps, this shampoo is made by a German artisan company and is free from artificial perfume and synthetic dyes. It contains a nourishing and hydrating blend of Olive Oil, Safflower Oil, Jojoba Oil and Lavender and Lemon essential oils to clean, moisturise and delicately scent your hair. This product is also suitable for vegans to use.

Les Savonniers Papaya Shower Gel

I’m a huge fan of anything that’s scented with Papaya, so I was very happy to see this shower gel from the French company Les Savonniers in the box! Made in the South Of France, this shower gel is free from parabens, sulphates, GMOs, nanoparticles, mineral oils, palm oil and silicones. It’s cruelty-free and has a mild Coconut Oil base, plus it smells fruity and amazing!

Lamazuna Solid Toothpaste with Sage and Lemon

The final beauty product in this box comes from the German artisans Lamazuna. Their Solid Toothpaste is a brilliant innovation which will help the environment and consumers to rid themselves of excess plastic waste which is polluting the planet. Their zero waste goals are reflected perfectly in this product which is 100% natural and vegan-friendly. To use it, you just gently rub your wet toothpaste over the solid part and brush your teeth as normal – easy!

As an extra gift, GreenEcoBox has included a packet of tea and chocolate samples from Higher Living Organic and Cafe Tasse, plus a delicious organic Cacao Truffle – yum!

Our score: 9.8/ 10

I loved this box! There were so many interesting products and I really like the fact that most of them were plastic-free!
