What we think

The individual worths on the page add up to £220, in line with the “over £221” in the name. That is a figure GLOSSYBOX sets itself, and it is concentrated in one product. The Avant exfoliant makes up £92, about 42% of the total, and with the £34 Rodial mask the two account for £126. The other eight products are worth £94 on the same basis.

At £25, that is £2.50 a product, or £2 each at the subscriber price. Seven of the ten are full size, which is a good ratio, but the mix leans towards small, low priced items: the sheet mask is £6 and the Molton Brown shampoo and conditioner are £7 each in deluxe size.

The mix covers face, lips, eyes, body and hair, so it works as a sampler rather than a themed set. GLOSSYBOX describes the edit as a collection of some of this year’s biggest beauty brands, naming Made by Mitchell, Rodial and BeautyPro.

How it fits with the monthly box
