Glossybox – October 2018: Trick or Treat

Halloween is just around the corner and this month, Glossybox are treating their subscribers to a very special Trick or Treat box! That’s right, you’ll either receive a ‘Trick’ or a ‘Treat’ themed box, but don’t worry, I’ve seen the contents of both and they are both definitely treats!

I’ve received the ‘Treat’ version which features a very cool illustration on the box – in fact, this is one of my favourite Glossybox designs of the whole year, though I may be slightly biased as I’m a huge fan of anything horror and Halloween related ;)

So then, what’s inside this month’s Glossybox? Read on to find out!

Illamasqua Antimatter Lipstick in Nebula (RRP £20)

The star of October’s box is a full-size Illamasqua lipstick and if you’ve received the ‘Treat’ box, you’ll find the shade Nebula from the brand’s Antimatter collection. This cruelty-free lipstick boasts a long-lasting, semi-matte finish which is richly pigmented and glides on effortlessly. I wasn’t too sure about this shade at first, but it’s actually quite flattering and would suit a wide range of skin tones, plus it makes your teeth look whiter which is always a bonus!

MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit in Pink Luster (RRP £5)

Next up, I found a Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight Kit in Pink Luster from MUA Makeup Academy. This 2-in-1 kit features both a cream and powder highlighter so that you can mix and match your look to get your coveted glow in the format and formula that you desire. Very pretty and perfect for handbags as it features a mirror inside the compact.

Luna by Luna Cosmetics Loose Translucent Powder (RRP £17)

All the way from New Jersey, this is another full-size and cruelty-free makeup product (Glossybox are really spoiling us this month!), from the brand Luna by Luna. The lightweight, finely milled formula allows you to effortlessly dust on the powder to keep your makeup looking its best for longer, no matter what the night throws at you.

This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up (travel size, full size retails for £17)

I was very happy to see a deluxe travel size of This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up because it’s one of my favourite makeup primers, and it can also be used as a hydrating face mask and as a regular moisturiser, so it’s a fantastic product to have in your makeup stash. Definitely a must-try!

Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palette in Oh So Special (RRP £8.99)

The last product in this month’s Glossybox is a full-size eyeshadow palette from Sleek in Oh So Special. This palette features 12 different shades with a mix of shimmer and matte finishes. I really love all of these colours as you can use the more neutral toned ones for daytime, whilst the darker, richer colours would be perfect for evenings and nights out.

Our score: 9.4/ 10

What a fantastic box from Glossybox this month! I love the Halloween theme and am looking forward to using all of the products!
