Glamour Spring Edit 2016 – Latest In Beauty

My love affair with the gorgeously curated Latest In Beauty Boxes continues with the perfect for Spring LIB Glamour Edit and for a limited time it’s available for £14.99 – originally £17.99 and worth an incredible £79.65! Latest In Beauty have designed a wonderfully easy service for beauty lovers everywhere to buy carefully selected hair and beauty items at really affordable prices. Don’t expect dated and unusable products either, they are all chosen from up-to-the-minute brands and product launches and the generous sample sizes give you the chance to test-run each product so you can decide whether to buy the full size.

I was so thrilled to open the LIB Spring edit and as always with LIB the beautiful presentation and carefully wrapped items were outstanding, with seven hero products to sample. Alessandra Steinherr the Beauty Director of Glamour Magazine and LIB have put together this Spring essentials box at the incredible price of under £15.00 (on offer at the moment) and it has all the elements to keep you looking perfect this season. With so many beauty boxes to choose from I find that quite often they are very hit and miss, LIB are very selective on which products they include and this really reflects in their popularity – I have bought many of the LIB boxes over the last two years and not one was I disappointed in and I think that is quite an accomplishment to have the continuity of happy customers over a range of different beauty boxes.

LIB-Spring-Edit-1

One of the aspects of the LIB boxes which I really value is the generous sample sizes giving ample opportunity to trial the products and get a more informed idea if they work for you. Get excited as the first product out of the box is the Moroccanoil Light Treatment, the same iconic treatment oil only in a lighter formula which is ideal for Spring. A real hero treatment for the hair in that it is so multipurpose, giving shine, fortifying the hair, helping with elasticity and making blow drying so much easier. Use on damp hair and also to smooth down any flyaways on dry hair, this treatment oil will make you a convert and what a great size to try as the 25ml bottle will last such a long time and is perfect for packing into holiday bags this Spring. Really great value when you think that this size of Moroccanoil would set you back roughly £13-£14 each and to have a mini supply of this wonder oil to keep your hair looking smooth and shiny is great.  Absolutely loved it!

Next in the box a 15ml M&S Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Rosie For Authograph) Nuit EDP, again lovely to see a larger sample size and if you have seen the Rosie For Autograph range in Marks and Spencer’s you will know it looks fabulous and there are so many great items to choose from! Formulated and designed by the supermodel (and perfumer Ralf Schwieger) in collaboration with M&S the EDP is a very feminine combination of jasmine, French rose and warm musk and leaves a beautiful fresh musky fragrance although aimed for using at night it’s lovely to use for daily use too. It will definitely make you want to go and explore the range and buy the bigger size!

LIB-Spring-2

From Murad’s Age Reform range the next item is 30ml of AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser and if the range is new to you this is a great way to try this powerhouse cleanser out. Designed to use 2-3 times a week to brighten the complexion the multi-action exfoliants help to get rid of dead skin cells to reveal younger brighter skin. A really easy to use exfoliant and one try to restore your skin ready for Summer. The trio of acids (salicylic, lactic and glycolic) alongside the jojoba beads give the skin a thorough polish and makes such a difference to the skin and as you only need a little this sample size will give you plenty of use. If you want to go ahead and buy this in the full size (£34.00 for 200ml) make sure you take advantage of the £10.00 gift card in every LIB Spring Edit with no minimum spend it’s a great discount to put towards a further Murad product.

LIB-Spring-2.2

Bare Minerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 3ml in bare natural 07 this is a foundation-serum combination for glowing healthy skin with coverage. I was really keen to try this out as I have seen it advertised and all you need to do is shake the bottle, dot it on you face/brush and then buff into the skin. While I liked the feel of this light serum/foundation on my skin and the light coverage the colour was just too dark for my light skin but it was great to try it out and I will use the complimentary card included to take to a Bare Minerals counter to find a shade to suit my skin (in a sample size)

From Malin + Goetz 40ml of their bestselling vitamin E face moisturiser for all skin types and what I loved about this cream is that it absorbs so well and leaves a matte finish perfect to use post make-up application. I can see why it has such a cult following as it’s so moisturising and the generous 40ml size is ideal to pack away in your make-up bag or holiday bag.

LIB-Spring-3

Next a brilliant Precision Ink Eyeliner from Illamasqua (worth £20.50) to create a waterproof lined eye with or without a flick! It is a really great eye liner and very easy to apply, so great to try such a high end brand and I love that it is a waterproof liner ready for the hot weather or holidays. The tip is fine enough to get a precise line and the colour is intensely black, water based and highly pigmented – in a full size and also doubles as a nail art pen too!

Last in the box from MUA a really versatile 10 shade eyeshadow palette in one of two colour combinations either Paradise (plum & copper) or Utopia (Nude & Bare) I’m a huge fan of MUA and love their range for affordability as well as performance and these metallic palettes are perfect to add some colour this Spring. You can use them all over the lid and for a more intense look use a wet brush to line the lids. Great to see this palette in the Spring edit and it will have so much wear and will no doubt last until next Spring!

As well as the seven products inside the box and the £10.00 discount card for Murad LIB also have a giveaway worth over £500 if you share a photo of your Spring Edit box using the #GLAMOURSPRINGEDIT hashtag – best of luck if you enter! For value this box really is exceptional and all the products are so usable too, great to give as a gift or to buy to take away on holiday, a perfect Spring edit.
